Seriously, out of the six or seven I've hit since 110,000, I was aiming for two or three of them.

As long as it is an Embassy suites and you are getting points for the stay. :D

I spent $913 on my truck today for four new shocks and two new control arms with ball joints and it rides like a dream. Hopefully that is the last major chunk of change I have to drop into the thing for a while.

When I replaced my ball joints two weeks ago it made just a big difference in how the car drives. It's fun again. Too bad the roads by me are straight. I need to go down to the DC outter beltway in MD between I-95 and VA.

Air America carried a large number off the roof in Saigon. I'd like to find a few good books about them.

You really should consider lottery tickets. :-:

Yikes, the progress to 113k was going so slowly, then someone opened a bottle of wine in the office, and I missed it. Dang... At least I got to drink at work! :)

My feel good book says that's a life long struggle that probably won't happen.

I was going to update the milestones but I took notice of the time. Gotta be at The Comedy Stop for 10:15. A preemptive goodnight to all.

I am sure you saw it, but my favorite documentary series on the conflict is "Vietnam: the 10,000 Day War". It is just a magnificent documentary. If you're looking for a good book on the war at "ground level", it does not get much better than Khe Sanh: Siege in the Clouds : An Oral History . It is just an amazing read. One thing is for d....n sure, true courage is indeed uncommon.:-:

Someone up the street from me put those plastic window insulation kit things on the outside of the windows on their porch. I can't wait to see what that looks like after the first storm. Awesome™.

Ga- FT just doesn't want to load for me. Only works semi-consistently if I hit a link real fast. Othewise it just times out.

So today, my GF flew LAX-RDU. She is AA Gold, and she asked me about upgrading -- I showed her how to do the research, and we decided that she should try for ORD-RDU but not LAX-ORD. Well, doggonit, she cleared ORD-RDU. :)

She told me that she is too used to traveling with me and upgrading on every flight -- now she wants me to check EF for return flights. After 9 years, I think she finally got me.
