No, It took a while to hear back about attending the ORD event, and then this weekend's trip came up. So I got my miles over 55K anyways.
Right now Im gonna have a fun time being ready for tomorrow at EWR.

So, did anyone figure out what I forgot to pack yet? I really don't know.

Extra shoes and toiletries normally take up a lot of room. Do you have your all important passport? (doesn't take up room)

I definitely have the passport (though I did just check again). Toiletries, too.

I think it is because I don't have a second pair of shoes that it seems so easy to pack for this one. I'm wearing the one pair now that I expect to wear over the next 10 days.

Morning box.

This past weekend I flew on a "Star Team Alliance" , a "Star Alliance Team", a "Sky Team", and a "Sky Team sorry Star Alliance" flight.

Was pretty funny, not one flight attendant announcement out of four got it right.

I think you and Mr Gadfly should each start a thread about it. :-:

It just hit me how true this is. If we have to be at the super-secret meeting place by 0730, and the first chance to relax after that is, I'm assuming, putting butt in seat on LH405, that's about a 20-hour day if you think of how long you're awake.

What is the general agenda for the day? I did not know it was so long.

My last TATL more or less kicked my butt for a day and a half last time, anyone in the box have suggestions?

I'm going JFK-FCO on Thursday and the 5:15PM departure and ~8:00AM arrival means I may be a zombie for the day, if I manage to stay away.

Look for the agent with a TWA name tag that has the name Freddie Laker. The pass phrase is "Branif flies some colorful aircraft" He will respond "Yes they do but Pan Am clipper service is second to none."

Window seat so you can lean against the side and try to get some sleep. Blankets make better pillows than the pillows. Use adrenaline from the excitment of the trip to keep you going on Friday until about 9:30 PM and then crash. Keeping hydrated helps a lot too. Eating at their times helps too, eath breakfast when you get there or on plane, have lunch when they have lunch, etc.
