Huh. I got invited by e-mail to take a survey giving my impressions of pre-merger NW versus the new merged DL/NW. I was brutally honest. There were several dozen categories to rank the two against each other, as well as compare the merged airline against the competition.

What organization is sponsoring said survey?

I'll second this. However, domestic F on the 763 is still better than E-, or even E+ on the same plane. And it's still better than Y on most aircraft.

I was on a refurbished domestic 763 a few weeks ago. There were new seat covers in F and Y, new carpet, brighter lighting, and the aircraft cabin was spotless. They had also replaced the 1980s video projectors with very large LCD monitors at the front of each cabin. Still not great, but a big improvement over what I had seen on that type in the past.

Not sure — it came through a third-party service. All indications were that it was ordered by DL but nothing came right out and said that.

NAN?

DXB was going to be my suggestion. Or India but you may be going there pending the outcome of certain trial proceedings. :)

So there was some incentive (erewards or such) attached?

MyPoints

I almost never take their surveys but am bored at work and thought what the heck. When the first few classification questions asked me about frequent flier program status, I decided to stick with it to see what it was about.

I do basically the same.

And I don't take the time to deal with their surveys. I'll be visiting MyPoints rarely now, given Upromise has a straight 2% back on eBay purchases (better value than MyPoints).

I received a $5 Subway card in the mail after a rebate. Thought it was going to sit on my desk until I got a coupon in today's mail for buy-one-get-one-free (with no add-on drink purchase required). Doesn't take much to make me happy ...

You have to remember who you're dealing with here.:D F on Amtrak would be something to write home about.;)

That's the theory I'm working with.:)

I'm all about "do what makes you happy". Some of my friends think it is odd that I like cocktails (specifically Manhattans) with dinner or will drink a nice white wine with steak.

I have to temporarily break my grocery shopping moratorium on Friday but it's not for me (promise) - it's for the Lexington / Keeneland / Woodford Reserve Do.
