NW played games with demands but ultimately the project was put on hold. I got a very polite German on the phone asking me what I wanted to do about it. I wasn't at a computer so I couldn't verify if my tickets were actually issued or not so I've delayed the inevitable a bit, but I believe that it is inevitable that this one will not fly, so to speak.

Not thrilled about the increase in points, but I won't complain about the free night certificate either. That's a nice, unexpected bonus I'm sure we'll find a good use for sometime in the first half of 2010.

One other interesting thing — the e-mail has a return of the old Hilton logo that was used up until the mid/late 1990s (before the swirly blue H), but its turned on its side now.
