You know IAH and EWR get a lot of the spot light, but I really like CLE. Kind of thought of it as the equivalent in rank of MEM with legacy NW. My folks live in ROC, and sometimes will fly through CLE to get there. The flights over Erie and Ontario are really nice, and CLE is a good facility!:-:

Now if they want a club here so bad, which would be silly, move NW over to B and refurb the old RCC that is now a storage room.

Where is the old RCC? I guess all of my travels through CLE (2006 and beyond) were after it closed, but I never noticed where it was.

It has gotten a LOT better with the new airport commissioner. It helps having a professional in the role rather than a political patron. Despite our size, CO does a great job here and the hub often exceeds expectations on a variety of levels.

And if you are flying west after a northern departure (RWY6), about 10 minutes out on the right you get a great view of the Erie islands and the roller coasters at Cedar Point. About 2 minutes after wheels up give me a wave!

On the left side of the terminal near the WN gates. It was tiny.

I have a bit of a soft spot in my heart for US. They were my arline of choice when I first started flying on my own. LOVED PIT when they first remodeled it when US was huge there. Flying out of ALB, it was easy to connect through there. When that went away, connecting through DCA was the way to go for one of the few mainlines left on the ALB schedule. Always recognized the FA's. Either they held that line forever or were stuck with it.;) the last few years though their pricing has been off the charts for where/when i had to travel. I just topped off my miles though with a little shopping so I hope to grab a saver award somewhere.

I just experienced a chuckle. I thought I had a flight on "hold" and it turns out that I had waited too long. Silly me huh? Well wouldn't you know the fare dropped again and my oversight saved me another $30!

In other news, with all of this balloon boy coverage all I keep thinking is: thank God they found balloon boy, I was afraid that Michael Jackson was ordering take out from heaven.

Did you get that off of a Bloomberg machine? That's got "trader joke" all over it.

That's a tough one to forget! I only flew one once and it was in the twilight of its usefulness.

With good physiological reason: alcohol causes dehydration, which the brain does not like. A good anti-hangover strategy I've used for years is at least 12 oz of water for each ounce of alcohol, straight or in mixed drink. Lots of potty trips, but a much happier morning after.
