Uh oh. My bad. Should have checked your FlightMemory, I guess. Too bad, though. Would have given you a name.;)

Am watching a pretty good Lee Marvin movie on AMC Point Blank. (Not to be confused with the awful 1998 film of the same name.)

Marvin's at his tough as nails best and it was directed by John Boorman.

In one of the scenes there was a billboard that read Fly Bonanza, so I had to look it up. Bonanza Airlines merged with West Coast and Pacific Airlines to become Air West.

I just love the interweb.

I had thought Howard Hughes had started Air West, so I just looked it up, and found: "Air West is an airline based in Khartoum, Sudan."

The internet is not always right there the first time.

So then I try "Hughes Air West," and get, from eBay:
"Buy Hughes air west. You may get 8% off with PayPal if eligible."

Apparently we have a training drill today.

It wasn't a drill, it was my welcome home committee. :D

BTW, the cover story on the Sept. JEMS was the response to CO1404. Couldn't bring myself to read it on any of my flights this week.

Back in NY and doing the wambulance thing until midnight. I was hoping to catch a few Z's between calls but an Indian wedding just fired up at the park across the street from the station. My magic  ball says sleep "is not possible."

Off to Dunkin'.

Finally, via the miracle of Wikipedia:

"Hungry for another adventure in the airline industry, TWA's former owner Howard Hughes bought the airline [the one referenced above] in 1970."

Still sounds like a good deal buying an airline with Paypal, though, even one dead for a generation.

Please do - PM or BBM, whatever works best, as I know you eschew the PM system.

I've been enjoying Great Lakes and Duvel all day.

Don't get me started on Greg Davis. I attribute our loss to Ohio State a few years back partly on him.

Where are you my friend?

I am about ready to start my football weekend. First, USC-OSU then Browns-Vikings tomorrow, with a potential flyby (the patriarch of the Lerner's was a Marine and usually they pay for the Marines to shake the stadium).

Had a great night watching Godfather outside while dining on a picnic prepared by Fahrenheit and Coppola wines. Doesnt get much better than that!

Hmm, I wasted post #1000 on a smart a$$ one-liner. So be it; it's in my nature. :D
