Rants are allowed, however, back-to-back posts (as well as throw-away and hidden-city posts) in an attempt to pad your post count isn't. :D :p

Well as great FFers we know how to get around those routing rules ;)

Indeed. I don't get drunk, or even tipsy for that matter (being a land whale helps with that) but my wife is a cheap date. I find that if I can get a bottle of water and a snack/meal into her before bed, she's just fine the next day. If not...yeesh.

Oh we've all shared that sentiment!

I used to fly US all the time because I was PHL based. I was young and didn't know much about the competition (my other airline that'd I'd fly when US didn't go somewhere was NW), so I didn't realize how awful they were.

I've found that no matter how much damage I do at night (so long as no port is involved), a bottle of water before bed cures anything.

In other news... when will The Mint's accounting group call me back?? I want my coins

Morning Box:

Hope I am not late to the party.:D How is everyone doing? I saw a list other denizens were making of wide bodies.

I have flown the DC-10, 767-300, 767-400, the 777-200, the 777-300, the A330-200, the A330-300 and the A340-600.

I am embarrassed to say that during my years as NW PE, I never flew on a 747. I was all set to on UA this year, as I had scored Biz Class Award seats from SYD-LAX, but had to cancel the trip. That was a big bag of

Rats, I should have included the DC-10. Will edit original post. I know that Boxers were so concerned!:D

Some of the Box would say that turning a corner was a given - couldn't get worse.

I have not flown US much at all, though I did connect through PHX on cactus air when we could get upgrades. I also had the displeasure of taking their low cost experiment to/from BWI. I forgot the name, but not the experience.

DL and UA at CLE Hub

Do any of you know what the plan is at CLE for UA (currently in B) and DL (currently split between B and C (old NW gate). Interestingly, DL has been aggressively remodling C6 and C8 with DL logos, chairs, gate desks, etc... and has service split between two concourses.

I would have thought that DL would run (not walk) away from the vicinity of CO and UA would relocate... but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Any insight?

My major-turned-LCC experience was only one, and never again: I, like many here, am a battle-scarred veteran of CO Lite.

Rotary and errand time...later on, y'all.

I think there is lingering bad blood from the time when the airport REALLY wanted NW to move to A in preparation for a new FIS facility. NW played games with demands but ultimately the project was put on hold. I too was rather surprised when I saw all of the investment in Terminal C and frankly I think it is approaching absurdity to invest in operations that make it difficult on connecting passengers and your staff. It seems to me that they are simply trying to flip CO & UA the bird.

Now if they want a club here so bad, which would be silly, move NW over to B and refurb the old RCC that is now a storage room.

Okay, y'all can stop now, I'm thorougly jealous! While I have 500k BIS miles in the last 3 years, I can only claim 762 and 764 experiences. I fly mostly domestic/Canada, but have a few Brazil trips (and IAH-EWR) on wide bodies. I'm anxious for my first 777 on 1/1 to NRT!

Oh, and I had a wide body once as a kid... I'm 98% certain that it was on DL, which would put the route as ATL-PHX (or possibly ATL-MCO) around 1990. Anyone have a guess for what I flew? I was way too young and inexperienced a traveler to realize that getting there was most of the fun.
