Jambalaya is my homey. :-: Good call.

Honestly and sincerely: do yourself a favor and just jump in whenever. When this thread at 40 posts per page puts up seven or eight pages a day, there's sometimes no point in reading everything you've missed.

What is cool is that you all are concerned over the day to day activities of the regulars. That is not common on the threads I follow...

We have been talking about taking her niece to the aforementioned new place for quite some time. I too could pretty much always go for teppanyaki.

I'm sure that will drive me nuts tomorrow when I drive by it.

They might not be getting retired any time soon, but Wiki's fleet breakdown does say that the 332's are being bought with 762 retirement in mind. They had to have sourced that from somewhere.

Originally, they were going to fly 762s to TLV and the 332s to reduce some of the EU capacity.

The 332s are slated to start doing EU runs at some point. I think the TLV runs can be done with a little over 1 dedicated aircraft which still leaves 1. something for other stuff.

And the NJT station is walking distance. :-:

That is a fact that I was not thinking about but it sure would make it convenient.

There is also a Hyatt across the street that is very cheap on weekends (when there is no Rutgers football) so those who need mattress nights and those whose cars do not drive themselves home by themselves after the owners have had lots of alcohol do have a place to fall.

^^

Though Old Bay is generally not conducive to talking with others given the noise level.

I've been driving by the one on 22 a lot lately and every time I drive by my mouth starts to water.

What kind of noise level do you expect when a place has that much beer on tap?

fozz Nov 10, 2009 10:16 pm

That's because the vast majority of us do know each other offline. If you're looking for a disAAdvantage to be at, that might be it for you.

Among other things, I have had Boxers down my way to play golf, we have held Box-only dinners, some of us have flown MR's together, and about a half dozen of us were on the Star MegaDo. I met many of the regulars here for the first time in person at CO Do IV. Randy Petersen himself complimented The Box while we were all in FRA, saying that the lounge thread thing doesn't work everywhere but we have made it succeed. The level of connection as a group is part of the reason it works so well.

ETA: Having said that, please do not interpret it to mean that we are cliquish or exclusionary. Anything but. And yeah, Olton Hall summed it up perfectly: this (the thread, not so much the site) is home on the Web for me. Many of us would say the same thing.
