I always thought the same and then I ended up marrying someone from Iowa. Now, I can look forward to a few visits to Iowa every year for a very long time...

If CO rewards can be used for one year post-ST departure, why can't I find NYC-SCL//EZE-NYC on DL using CO miles? Prefer to do this trip at the 90K/person level. Looking for 3/12-3/30/2010.

Comes out as mid-tier on DL; I know DL only shows SkyTeam partners when the flights have low availability.

Thanks, but if that itinerary in F is a mid-tier DL reward, it doesn't translate to paying for it in CO miles, does it?

Not to my knowledge - I think the practice of only showing partner "low" awards might be required.

Another 32 minute phone call with warranty company - going to Lowe's to investigate pipe snakes on my own (test hypothesis of close-in problem).

Poop. I'll let my mother deal with it over the phone.

I presume that you do intend to take that spectacular bus trip over the Andes. It will be early fall and the scenery should be glorious with lots of evergreen and at some of the middle elevations there will already be leaves turning.

It's not for me, but that's a great suggestion. How's the book going?

I think leave the terminal.

I should get Hawaii next year, as we're already starting to plan a trip there next spring.

Well you and your partner could go to Iowa to get married?

I will get to knock out Idaho on my MSP-GEG runs (as Couer D'Alene is only 30mi from GEG). However, I have a fairly substantial list of states not yet visited...

Connecticut
New Hampshire
Maine
Montana
Nevada
North Dakota
Rhode Island
South Dakota
Wisconsin
Wyoming

Never been to LAS? Interesting. The new PC there is great! I will need to look at my missing states list.

I wish I had done the same, but my longest overnight in GEG is ~10 hours. It would have been nice to knock Idaho off of my list of 15 states I still need to visit.

Alabama
Alaska
Arkansas
Idaho
Kansas
Louisiana
Maine
Mississippi
Montana
Nebraska
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Vermont
Wyoming

OK is not worth it, it is one of the states that if you connect in the terminal you have visited. :)

Hmmm...$200/round to play Cd'A. And another $60 for rental clubs. The good news is that a room + golf rate is about the same, I think, so I still might do it.

Oh, and I met a FTer who is a member at Sawgrass. I was supposed to play the 2nd course there back in July but the timing didn't work out.

WOW! $60 for rental clubs makes our $40 fee look good.

Arkansas
Colorado
Deleware
Idaho
Indiana

Nebraska
New Hampshire
New Mexico
North Dakota
South Dakota
Utah
Vermont
West Virginia
Wyoming

I've visited 34 states and 41 countries. That seems wrong at some level.

Yes it does.

I did get a lot of B6 employees who thought I was one as well because of it. That was fun.

I think it is cool unless you are plugging your AYCJ on a t-shirt. That would seem a little crazy.

Good point — I didn't even think of that. I don't remember how he paid for it… just sent him a message asking if it was on his corporate Amex, which it may have been. If it was, that may help make this situation a lot better.

That could work. Also, did you pay for the cab with a CC? or get a receipt by chance. Perhaps a call to the cab office would help.

Anyone wanting to cross off Ohio can wait until the USAF Museum is ready to put Memphis Belle on public display.

Even more reason to like Portland: you can run into zombies that like turtles. ;)

Same here. My rule is that you have to do something significant outside an airport. My minimum activity was in CT - visited a rest area and filled my tank with gas.

I've got 47/50. Missing ND, MT, SC. The virtues of growing up in the Midwest with parents who liked driving vacations.
