How long is the drive if you fly into EAR?

About 8 minutes. Still a westward trek though. :D

The HQ is between EAR and the Arch.

I thought you were just joking about having to go to EAR. I only spent one night there. My apologies.

No offense meant but wouldn't that be the Center of Nowhere, NE?

$218 for EWR-OMA? What kind of special is that? Someone must have put that in as some sort of joke.

Don't forget the part where it is 3+ hours on an ERJ each way.

Without taxi, weather delay or ground hold!

wow I am out flying this weekend anyway, but those are sucky specials.

They must have low booking to OMA, IAH-OMA is on 'sale' too.

Surprising actually

Well if I had the time I would probably actually be on the OMA flights. Need the line and want to visit the historic Baglady Headquarters!

Your punishment for riding in Y will be determined at a later date.

Are you suggesting that this area ranks below a particular pit? ;)

I'm also having them shipped to the office from which I can deposit them at a real Chase branch by simply taking the elevator downstairs. Much better than the challenges I've faced up in my 'hood. Oh, and I need some more to spend, too.

"Not worth it"?!? How dare you... just don't let my wife hear that someone agrees with her, LOL. I had 7.5k dropped off today and another couple tomorrow before the current backorder hits me. I have now successfully filled my second vault at local Wachovias. They only have the Brinks guy come once a month, so he'll be here Thursday so I can go back there. In the mean time, I took them to a few other branches where they don't hate me yet.

I've had some very nice times in EAR. I'd rather pass on another tornado though. Oh wait, there was that tornado in JZT. And the cyclone in HKG. And the ice storm in MMU. And those two pesky earthquakes in VNY. And Ike in teh Pit.

Hmm, don't move into my neighborhood. Locusts might be next.

I'm still getting used to scouting out possible bump situations...

I'm on CO 1527 tomorrow, BWI-IAH (and then 423 on to MSY). Flight status on CO.com shows "F: available; Y: full", but the seatmap shows about 18 Y seats unclaimed (most are exit rows or special assistance seats). Seatcounter shows everything zeroed out except 5 F/Z/A/D and 4 Y/B.

...Does this translate into "oversold"? Or "close"? Or just "is not possible"?

There's availability on the next (and last) BWI-IAH flight, plus time for a connection to make the last IAH-BTR of the night (which is where I'm eventually going anyway).

It would be awesome to score some bump money AND save my friends the 2 hours of driving to/from MSY to come get me...

Locusts = grasshopper or locust = cicada? The cicada killer wasps in my neighborhood handle the latter quite well.
