This happened to someone at the DO as well, he got a call on the bus from one of the events asking where he was, he was being called at the gate :D

When I was booking hotels and making arrangements for my recent move to Austin (which consisted of three vehicles (one being a 26ft Penske Truck), four people, and three nights in hotels) I failed to count properly and had us in Austin a day before we could move into our apartment. Disaster was averted by my wife noticing this the day before we left San Diego. We spent the extra day in California and enjoyed the cool weather once more.

It was only 5 degrees cooler here in NYC than it was in AUS. :--: that I can't escape the heat!

Thanks guys! :D So many out of the ordinary things going on around this booking.. but at the end of the day (sorry for the boorish corporate phrase) it was my fault for not double-checking. *headdesk, headdesk, headdesk*.

Wonder if I could get compensation anyways.... :p Ok.. maybe not..

I've always relied on memory but I'm getting to the point where I can actually believe some of the news stories where someone says "I forgot I had a weapon in my briefcase" after getting arrested at the airport ...

I've had a spreadsheet since 2005, which was converted to an Access database two years ago. I spent a lot of time updating it a few weeks ago, and still have some more to do. But it's mostly caught up now.

Okay.. go!

I've booked an outbound flight on the wrong day, and then realized it when CO's Trip Alert system called me while I was in church on a Sunday morning to remind me of my departure in three hours. I was supposed to be traveling on Monday morning. I had to duck out and call them. Fortunately I connected to a very nice and understanding agent who switched my flight for free and then went ahead and processed my upgrade on the new flight. This was in 2004. Not so sure they'd be that accommodating today.

Flight Memory came back. I'm up to date once again. Now I can get rid of these boarding passes that have been in my bag since early August, just in time to start traveling again next week.

Exact thing happened to the guy at the DO.... so they were still generous in Jan....in fact he offered to pay if needed as he was feeling bad, right there next to the IAH Marriott and not even close to able to make the plane he 'booked' 24 hours earlier than intended.

Good feeling on the trip alert, yes? :p Glad you got that worked out! :) My trip alert was my sister... we were walking to dinner and my sister was wondering why I was insisting I was leaving on Monday, since my itin said Tuesday. I bet her she read it wrong... and I lost.

Im in SAN now. The weather was nicer in NYC but seeing the mountains and clean ocean is very nice. We just got back from the Gaslamp district where parking was a nightmare. Zoo and Tiajuana today, teh beach is tomorrow.
