Actually the bank ATM there sets the rate.....looks like the CHF is stronger now than it was in Jan when I was there. I am carrying around a couple hundred francs :)

Greetings from the WN Lounge. Also known as the bench in the hallway.:D

Pleased as punch to report I'm actually at an airport, having a chai latte, listening to inane conversations and killing time before my flight. Off to the ABQ area for a few days. Yay.

Aye, parking is always a nightmare in the Gaslamp. I usually suck it up and pay the $2.00 per 15 minutes at Horton Plaza (the mall next to the Gaslamp on 4th Ave) as I only go down there for dinner at Croce's or something like that.

Any recommendations for a decent breakfast in Toronto? Timmy Ho's is the backup plan.

couldn't pass the chance, ;)

if you find yourself in south florida with this, let me know, I may be around.

I'm actually doing a trip for work — ATL-IAH via DTW. It means I've got to endure two flights on DL in Y to get to/from DTW, since DL took over all the ATL-NW US hub routes, but the DTW-IAH flights both ways are on DC-9-30s. The price was only $238, so no worries there about the extra long routing. I might do another, but need to make sure first that doing so won't jeopardize my quest for UA 1K.

The couples were already there. Three singles appeared after I checked and way after the 24hr mark.

Marta why are you running on a 20 minute schedule when there are a ton of people on it.

Didn't I post the same thing earlier Saturday on Twitter? I told you!

It amazes me that MARTA runs the normal reduced weekend schedule on a weekend like this. Yesterday probably had as many, if not more, people taking MARTA to get to downtown or midtown for several large festivals and two major college football games. Yet the stupid 15-20 minute frequencies were running yesterday like a normal Saturday when the system has hardly anyone on it. Five Points was as packed yesterday as I've ever seen it during a weekday rush hour when I was through there. My total transit time yesterday from Peachtree Center to Edgewood/Candler Park was right at an hour because of long waits between trains. For those not familiar with our transit system, that routing involves transiting only 6 stations, most around a mile apart (or less), and one transfer of train. On a weekday it would take around 20 minutes, if even that.

But then, this is Atlanta and Georgia. I've learned that the way things run here tends to defy logic and reason.
