Same here. Well, on the issues, not the heart transplant, part. The only one I've not had any issue with was brand new — the Holiday Inn Express in Huntsville, TX is very, very nice, and new enough that it hasn't been trashed yet. But unfortunately the client there has decided that it's too expensive and the Comfort Inn is a better option for us. :td:

I had also forgotten about Holiday Inn's tacky plastic sign in the bathroom advertising the towels, sheets, pillows, irons, hangers, and other items for sale. It essentially says these items are so popular they now will sell them to you, and if you steal any of it, rather than buying it from the "Executive Housekeeper," you're agreeing to paying the prices listed on the sign. It's the ultimate in tacky snarkiness, and something I've only seen at Holiday Inn branded properties. I just noticed the sign in the bathroom in this room and laughed. Funny how the competition (Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc.) doesn't seem to need such signs in their bathrooms.

Sad day, I stepped on my laptop a day or so ago and cracked the screen. I've done this once before, and it's an easy fix (and not terribly expensive at around $100) but I can't get the part delivered before I need to be at the airport :(

On that note - is the row of benches outside the PC at IAH specfically for savy folks to "borrow" free internet access? They don't seem to provide any other purpose and aren't near any gates.

I think so. People used to sit on the floor outside the club, so they probably just gave in and put the seats there.

I'm bored.

Just realized I had a bunch of 717s in AM I haven't scheduled yet. That should provided some entertainment for a bit until I fall asleep.

Insomnia sucks.

I didn't have time to keep up in Paris and let my airline go bankrupt.

Hope this is 78000.

Edit: It is!
