You obviously weren't there in Nov-May. I lived in OMA for five years and it was fine. When I moved to EAR, I would go to OMA to do my grocery shopping because the selection in EAR sucked. I also continued to get my hair done there. I was one of the few people who would drive 3 hrs. each way to get my hair done though I would try and arrange it around flights. I still have my flyers club card for LNK. The only benefit to that airport. We're trying out the new Fairfield because it was $150 less than FS Marriott.

I wonder if this can be applied to Boxers.:p

I'm all for Whataburger at some point during the DO.

Also, any decisions on where you all want to go for brunch?

That's how I feel this morning but it's not from drinking.

We were at 837. Chocolate cake was also had. Along with entirely too much to drink. The second glass of vodka before dinner and the grand marnier to go with the cake are taking their toll this morning.

Still not 100% on the flights, but getting much closer to booking. Was briefly toying with the PHL-IAH-SMF-IAH/DO/IAH-LIM/Drink/LIM-EWR routing idea, but I have to see if I can get it to price out reasonably.

Me too, and definitely from drinking.

Y'all were busy in here last night. Good times.

Oh, and my client decided to send out their holiday card email greeting last night. Just a few thousand messages to pass through the system. And then when they got tagged as a spammer by some system they asked me if there was anything I could do about it.

Goooooooooooood Morning Box!

Ya'll were busy in here last night. I figured, when I looked up and saw it was 8pm and I was still in the office with about 2 hours of work left to do I had to close FT. And I'm glad I did, that 5 Guys discussion might have prompted me to get on a train down to DC.

Seriously.

I've been known to fly US via DCA during a meal time to grab lunch there. Let me repeat, US...
Yes, I'm sick.

CM
, it's not like Fuddruckers at all. Fuddies is good because of their buns. 5 Guys is good because of the meat (and all the toppings you care to put on). The bun just acts as an ineffective layer to hold the grease bomb. It's a different kind of burger zen. More closely related to In 'n Out and Whataburger than Fuddies.

I just realized that I never uploaded my pictures from San Diego, with about a dozen pictures of Otters, to my a web hosting site. I gotta get on that.

Canuck had a 2 hour delay this morning.

BTW there is a Five Guys open in Hoboken , no need to go to DC and they are opening one about 10 minutes away from my office .

You could see if they would route you on BR via TPE and go TPE-EWR or TPE-LAX, SFO or SEA and then onward on CO to EWR since it's a CO Codeshare ; ask for at least Elite class (if not PL) which would seem doable.

I didnt even start planing options for the return flight yet. I am not sure I would want 3 segments to get home though. I think that would be rough.

Without having to check, what carrier is BR and TPE, is that Taiwan?

What is this Elite Class and PL you speak of?

winner winner. Next time I see you, you're fixin to be 50 lbs heavier.

I've heard rumors that they're cropping up all over the area. There was an article in the local rag that they were trying to get into a spot in HPN (the city, not the airport. The airport concessions are limited to whatever the employees don't eat for lunch) but I guess there's a problem with the space they're trying to get.

At least it means someone bought the rights to the franchise up here and is aggressively pursuing it.

I've had franchised 5 Guys, but it's not the same as the "real deal" (with Bill McNeil). If you want to go to the mecca, you have to go to Falls Church or Springfield (VA).

There's a FatBurger about 2 minutes from my house. I think it was the first one to open on the East coast and I was ecstatic. It's so disappointing though. Which, I suppose is a good thing.

Are we talking about the burger place in NJ, Five Guys Burgers and Fries?

Yeah

Anglo Large Clawed Otter Dec 17, 2008 7:37 am

There is a place in New Orleans (Metairie, actually) that has burgers that are so phenomenal, I can only eat there about once per year. Each time I see one of their burgers, I nearly have a stroke. If any Box Denizens are ever in MSY, be sure to check out the New Orleans Burger & Seafood Co. on Veterans Drive in Metairie. You will not be carried away by ambulance disappointed.
