Ugh - I have to be up at 5am to get over to EWR. Why am I not tired?

If you aren't driving, I would heartily recommend getting very drunk at this point. You're going to feel terrible no matter what happens by 5am. You might as well have a good reason.

Sending my OMA karma your way. Of course, who the #&!! wants to go to OMA in Dec? It's freezing (I think the high was 6 today) but the highlight will be a shopping spree to Nebraska Furniture Mart and for those of you who get to OMA and don't go to NFM, you are doing yourself a serious disservice. I took MR BL and he kept saying it's just a furniture store and I said you don't understand - he went to the electronics store and was a very happy man.

There is either butter when they grill it or added somewhere (I don't eat meat so I'm the wrong person to ask :o ) - I don't think it's anything healthy but MR Baglady fell in love and my best friend goes there regularly. BL Jr likes it simply for the ice cream.

Now that I think about it, I did hit a Culver's for ice cream in Michigan about a year ago.

And, I forgot that you don't eat meat, so your lack of Whataburger visits is forgiven.

I was surprised to discover that Omaha is actually a pretty nice place when I visited a couple years ago.

Unfortunately, I'm the driver. Booze (should I decide to go that route) will need to wait until after the 7:30am departure.

Agreed; though the best margaritas are mine :) I may not be the best cook, but I am a heck of a drink mixologist. I think I have as many drink books as I do cookbooks. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

That's what I call a balanced diet. That's awesome.

Oh trust me, they exist — usually in the crappy chain Mexican places that should be avoided at all cost. You can also find these in many ballparks and other such venues. I've had some "margaritas" in Texas that had a splash of the cheapest alcohol they could find, some artificial lime flavoring, and a lot of high fructose corn syrup.

Fortunately most of the time margaritas in Texas are quite good.

I occasionally eat seafood and fish but haven't had any other meat in over 20 years (that I know of). When I'm home I stick to a vegetarian diet and when I eat out I throw in seafood and fish. I went 10 years strictly vegetarian (with a very long year as a vegan) and realized I missed seafood. There was a moment in the refrigerator where I smelled leftover ham and almost let it slip, but . . . :D
