Saturday evenings, AA loads schedules and runs batch processes. This means some scheduled flights might go missing, or your account may show all zeroes, sometimes well into Sunday. It will all come back.
If the website doesn't work try the app, or vice versa.
aa.com troubles? Check by using aktchi's recommended way: http://isup.me- or http://www.isitdown.us, http://www.doj.me
Or use this direct link - http://downorisitjustme.com/res.php?url=aa.com
If it is just you, try: reload the page, empty your cache, delete one or more cookies, quit and restart the browser, shut down and reboot the computer.

Works ...for example, clearing Citi cookies before submitting a second, same-day AA credit-card application.

This new site is now a PITA!!!
I attempt to log in via the web but I receive a: " your session has expired error" Even when I clear cache, I receive the same error
I refresh or click on the American Airlines link and receive : "The page must have taken flight"
Caught in this loop for the last 4 mins.

Does AA just not care that their website is basically non-functional?
Have a reservation (paid, not award) on hold. Ready to purchase. Click the purchase button:

- Chrome: "this page has taken flight"
- Fine, Chrome incognito mode (usually solves most issues): "this page has taken flight"
- Argh, lets try the app: "this page has taken flight"
- Resort to Edge (never used, no cookies/cache to worry about): "our system is having trouble"
/rant off

Where are you located?
I was in Europe this weekend and experienced the same thing. Every single page load brings up the opt-out cookies GDPR page. Doesn't matter what you select, it will still reappear.
half the time, the popup would load in between the old reservation layout and the new one, causing the page to not allow scrolling. Which then requires a refresh and the popup again.
It's like AA hired their web developers from sketchy sports streaming sites.

Problems with AA Ticketing
So I booked a ticket a week ago on AA in J/F. Checked back yesterday and found exact itinerary for about $1k less. Decided to cancel and rebook. Usually, AA deposits flight credit or trip credit in my account fairly quickin this case it would be a flight credit. That did not happen this time, but I did get email with cancellation. So I set about rebooking, but had to put booking on hold and call in to apply flight credit. Called EXP desk and helpful agent was apply to get it doneor so I thought. 24hrs later, no new ticket and noticed reservation was still on hold. Called in again, got another helpful agent, who checked and said booking was on hold. She tried again to apply flight creditno success. She called rate deskno success. Tried her support deskno success. So she took my contact info and said support will reach out. That was earlier today. I just checked and I can see status of booking now changed to on hold until March 15date on which I am due to travel. Original hold date was today 27 Feb. So it seems they are having a ticketing issue.
Anyone having similar issue?
Thanks

Fun with AA.com
I apologize for the kinda nondescript title, but I just had two experiences I wanted to post, and decided that a nondescript title was better than two separate posts.
First, when looking to reboook an SNA-DFW flight, switching from AA 1660 at 10:25am to the next later flight, I discovered that the next later flight is AA 3111 at 11:31am. I wonder if the person assigning flight numbers did that for fun or if it's just a coincidence. In either event, the agent and I got a kick out of it. (Because this is part of a RTW itinerary, I needed a phone agetn to help me.) What other fun flight numbers have you experienced?
Next, I wanted to push back my DFW-MSY flight, which is a separate reservation. Not needing the agents help, I did this myself on the app. What I found humorous this time is that there were several other flights available for a $10 price difference, but the app also offered to keep me on the same flight I was on for $75! I declined that offer and chose a later flight.
All of that having been said, when I opted to pay the $10 price difference to go on the later flight, it offered to put me in economy for the $10 price difference, or in first for a $75 price difference. For a 1-hour flight and a good chance of a free upgrade, I never choose to pay for first, but with only a $65 difference between economy and first I decided to pay it this time. And now as I type this, I wonder if the $75 the app was gonna charge me to stay on the same flight was actually what it was going to charge me to stay on the same flight but upgrade to first. Has anyone else experienced this using the "change flight" function on the app (as opposed to the more normal upgrade offer on the app)?
Ok, you all can go back complaining about silly stuff while I continue to post about silly stuff.

For the past few days, I have not been able to access reservations details in the app. Most of the time, I am able to do so on the website, both in the mobile and desktop versions.
I ran across this press release in one of my news feeds. There is still no new Android version in Google Play Store, I wonder if the glitch is related.
