Saturday evenings, AA loads schedules and runs batch processes. This means some scheduled flights might go missing, or your account may show all zeroes, sometimes well into Sunday. It will all come back.

If the website doesn't work try the app, or vice versa.

aa.com troubles? Check by using aktchi's recommended way: http://isup.me- or http://www.isitdown.us, http://www.doj.me
Or use this direct link - http://downorisitjustme.com/res.php?url=aa.com
If it is just you, try: reload the page, empty your cache, delete one or more cookies, quit and restart the browser, shut down and reboot the computer.
LRD shared: (maybe)... it's a bad cookie. I use the "Remove Cookie for Site" extension. This adds a menu item to your mouse right-click that clears the cookies for just the domain you are viewing. Works ...for example, clearing Citi cookies before submitting a second, same-day AA credit-card application.

Drunkmuppet: Go to book flights->advanced->clearhistory.

azsharonc: How to resolve the 400 errors in Chrome

1. clear you recent search history on the advanced search page
2. you can delete aa.com cookies by left clicking on American Airlines Inc in the address field
Select Cookies from the list
from the list of cookies, expand the caret for aa.com or www.aa.com
click on cookies then click remove.

"Flight / Fare selected no longer available; please modify your request" common booking error

Attempts to search for flights to book are yielding the classic "our system is having trouble" message. Anyone else?

Yep. Also viewing/changing booked trips freezes the page. App worked as a workaround for me tho.

Yep. Intermittently today. Slightly better if using incognito mode.

It's amazing to me how AA seems to just be fine with their website being so bad at doing the primary job of selling tickets....

AA.com award search not working (firefox/chrome) (thread may be merged)

Hello all - AA.com not working for award searches. Keeps getting back to the search page (American Airlines - Book flights) once you hit "SEARCH".

I tried firefox and Chrome. Neither works. (Windows Laptop)
Happening since last night.

Not sure if others are having similar issues.

Was able to use the app to search and issue ticket.

Website Issues

Am I the only one experiencing really annoying failures using aa.com to book flights? FOr the past month, I have been seeing "Our System is Having Trouble" errors, especially when I change the date on a search. It takes repeated efforts to get responses. I have also had problems having to hit the "Continue" button multiple times before the flight search actually starts. Today I have a new problem: when attempting to log in using my bookmark to aa.com I frequently see "Access denied". I normally use Chrome, but I see the same thing using Edge and Firefox. I have restarted, cleared cookies, etc. but these problems keep happening. I have zero problems using the Delta and UA site.

And for some reason, I get sent to the Dominican Republic site (aa.com/homepage.do) even though I have North America and United States selected.

I believe the .do has nothing to do with the Dominican Republic in this context, it's a common extension for web pages implemented using Apache Struts or other Java technologies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_Struts

You can't spell <manure> without AA IT.

This is a long thread chronicling it's general manureness:

I've been trying to book a multi city itinerary for 3 days now but keep getting the "trouble" message.

Finally gave up and Virgin/Delta now have my next trip.

Today on the AA website, I am noticing when I reverse the from and to cities by clicking the arrows button, it immediately executes the search (not allowing me to change the date, etc). Anyone else seeing this? (Chrome on a PC)

Yep, have been noticing same thing for 4-5 days, using Edge on a PC. It's distracting & driving me a little nutty. Can't use anymore as a shortcut on changing one of the airports. I thought it worked just fine before. 🙄
