Heh. That's pretty cool.

Are two copies of the rental agreement enough to convince the National people at FLL to indeed give me this rental for the whopping grand total of $13.74 for two days? (Dec. 22-24 no less....)

I'd keep another affordable reservation on the books, just in case. ;)

Yeah, I thought of that too....I'm not going to cancel my $38 Thrifty booking for pickup in Pompano.

That stinks! How did the water get there?

Ye olde $%*@can. When I went to bed, the toilet was just sitting there, perfectly still. When my fiance woke up, it was running continuously and there were two inches of standing water on the floor. Still don't know what caused it. We didn't have a repeat performance last night so we'll see what happens.

Some of the UA Express DHC-8-200s out of DEN are the newer Q version, and some are the original. The seating is virtually identical on them though. The planes Mesa is flying for UA out of DEN were mostly built around the time Bombardier introduced the noise cancellation technology that's on the Q-200 but not the original DHC-8-200. So it just depends; some of those planes have it, others don't. I've flown both and haven't really noticed any difference in the seat configuration.

Or worse. A Colgan Saab to DRT or MLU.:eek::eek:

USE THE KIOSK, not a live person at the check in deck.

Also keep a back-up res on hold somewhere.

Wow. Hope that doesn't happen again... I wonder if something was stuck in the main.

Anyone ever booked a fare on AlaskaAir.com? I am wanting to get a couple of FC seats from IAH-BRW. They sell the routing as a partner ticket and I cannot figure out how to actually book it in F.

I have and had no issues. However, there's apparently some kind of disconnect between CO and AS's systems that prevents booking codeshares in F on either carrier's website. CO.com will book AS codeshares, but only in Y, and AS.com will book CO codeshares, but only in Y. You'll probably have to either use a travel agent or call to get that itinerary to book in F.

Will do - not used to a rental check-in that's not with a person, but then again I haven't ever rented from National until this.

Box is dead today.

It's odd that a person get singled out for high praise and venomous hatred in the same day...unless your occupation is politics. At the start of my day, a woman with a migraine came to my desk, and long story short we ultimately could not help with what she was asking for...what she was asking us to do was a policy violation. She in turn demands my boss's name, and their boss...because according to this nut, I burped in her face.:rolleyes::confused: (Just when you think you've heard it all.) For the record, I did not burp...and two other people are backing me up.

Then, about 2:15 or so, the Asst. Front Office Manager asks me if I've gone to lunch yet and if not, when. Upon asking why she's curious, I learn that the house Customer Assurance department wants to talk to me "for a job well done". So not only do I get the congratulations they wanted to give me, but they take my picture and tell me that snippets from the letter a guest wrote praising me (:D) are going to comprise the first (!!!) in a series of new PowerPoint frames that will be inserted into the rotation on our back-of-house plasma screens. Said frames are a new initiative that recognize good customer service on a wider level. So there you have it, total hatred and high praise in a four-hour swing.

Welcome to the hospitality industry...

When the woman accused you of burping in her face did you tell her the time?

If it makes you feel better, I've spent the better part of today trying to explain to my foreign colleagues what exactly is going on in the States in regards to our little economic kerfuffle.

After a relatively thorough explanation I remind them that common sense and logic have no place in American (or British) politics, so all assumptions as to what will happen should be left to those that get paid to think on TV.
