Are you saying CO is the new US

Awwww, man.... I guess I had better go back and read.... I was hoping for a better experience than DL (which hasn't been bad for me at all...). CO had the route I needed for this trip.

You must feed the beast, or it will become angry. Next thing you know, you'll wake up on a CR2 to LRD, wondering what happened.

That sounds like the voice of experience. ;)

The key seems to be paying with a Visa, FWIW.

I accidentally used an AMEX and it didn't seem to matter, i wonder if it will stick. It was rather interesting to see a $180 discount though. :)

What route are you flying

spleenstomper Oct 1, 2008 8:23 am

AEX-IAH-SJC It was that or DL which went AEX-ATL-SLC-SJC.

And thanks for the welcome, BTW!

Not at all. US is the new Tower Air without the novelty of a fleet of decrepit 747's.

C:rolleyes: has a certain reputation that I'm not really sure it deserves (especially in BusinessFirst). I do find it to be the most consistent airline in the US and it's overall somewhere between just fine and good. Which is, I guess, better than any other domestic airline.

Definitely better than DL on most routes.

IMO, the experience will be better than DL, especially for IAH-SJC, where you should get a free meal, even in Y. It won't be gourmet, by any stretch, but free food is a nice touch if you have a tight connection.

If you are on a Saab for AEX-IAH, don't expect much. If it's an ERJ, it will be fine.

spleenstomper Oct 1, 2008 8:37 am

It's a V class and it says "snack", which will be nice since I only have a 36 minute connection in IAH.

Notice my creative use of "" :) because I am quoting the itinerary-- not because I don't know how to use "" as in deli slicer is for "cheese" only:eek:

You should have done both and it would have made a nice parallelogram for your flight memory.

Quick question as I have not been following the NW/DL merger. I was looking for tickets EWR-IAH as I ususally do and found that NW had them for $231 a/i vs. CO's $400 a/i. If the merger goes through this year would I still be able to get comp upgrades on NW for flights as late as July 2009?

Maybe - depends at what point in the consummation of the deal NW breaks its relationships with CO.

I'll have to try this...print the T&C's obviously.
