CM, when did you become a VPILF Plat?

Did you status match up from "beretta" level in the Cheney gun club?

I became a VPILF Plat about 24 hours after I saw a shot of her head to toe. She cuuuuuute.

Regrettably, the kind of gun club I wish I could join is one that around here is only open on weekends...I would very much like to get into the study of practical shooting, and there's no practical match facilities open on weekdays.

Are you sure it wasn't SNL with Tina Fey

I gave up on reward redemptions for XMas/New Year's. BTV/YUL it is. Now, uh, what exactly is there to do in BTV in January? :D

I thought you found something earlier

BD couldn't seem to find availability on IST-AYT, despite availability on ANA Tool, and intra-Turkey flights are hideously expensive. Also, the IST-BRU-IAD-ORD-IAH return wasn't exactly convenient, either. Also, the Significant Otter will need some extra mileage to make Silver for 2009, so IAH-EWR-BTV ought to do the trick. I just decided to hang on to my BD miles for the time-being. I'm sure I'll find something to spend them on in 2009.

Besides skiing and snowshoeing? Probably nothing.

Totally forgot that was ski country. I was just using BTV as a hopping-off point for getting to YUL, as tickets to BTV were half the price of YUL. Will have to look into local ski areas, then...

In the interests of public safety, I would advise other Northeast-based Box Denizens to avoid I-89 between 12/27 and 1/3, as a Texan will be attempting to drive on that white stuff y'all get up there. :D

If you're a new skier, I'd suggest looking into Smuggler's Notch (it's very family focused but they have a good learners program). If you are a more advanced (or adventerous) skier, definitely go to Stowe or Killington (a bit of a drive from BTV).

We're definitely novices, so Smuggler's Notch it is. Thanks! ^

Word of advice for the box - don't ever use Paychex as a payroll vendor. They are the worst.

The non-profit I'm on the board of used them until tonight to process the payroll for two employees. TWO. And they couldn't get it right.

The non-profit is eating a fat $1,300 error that they caused.

Thank you for the fair warning. :)

My other pet peeve is the use of quotation marks solely to set something off. Duh. My local deli had a huge sign over one of the slicers: CHEESE SLICER "ONLY".

More proof that society is circling the drain, boys and girls.

I've been doing documentation review at work for a month now. I'm amazed at how poorly written some of our handouts we use in training classes for clients are. At least now they'll all be technically up to date with the latest software version, look better, and be grammatically correct.

Interesting. I just googled VPILF. I can't believe I had to google it
