Is there a way to expedite fattening up your passport (extra page inserts). I kept putting this off, I'm out of space, and it looks like I'll be going to Europe at the end of Oct.
Is it even absolutely necessary (they always give me grief coming back into the US 'cause I'm out of space)? Anyone know how long it takes? I actually only renew and add pages in embassies. I had pages added a few months ago in ICN took 15 minutes, they did it while I waited. Last month my dad had pages added to his in LIM, we returned a couple of hours later bc they are somewhat unorganized and they take a mid-day break. To add pages it is free. We usually bring the paperwork all filled out to make things go a little faster. In LIM I got my passport renewed in 1 day. Also, not having space shouldn't be a problem, I was looking at my mom's passport and she has like 30 stamps on one page (you obviously cant read anything). So I told her why didnt she just go and get another set of pages -- she was having a senior moment. :) |

Going to Uhaul to pick up the trailer, then moving my stuff to Houston. Going to be a fun two days. Plus, I am thinking of going through the midwest states and avoiding the southeast and the gas shortages there.

good luck ^

I'm kind of dreading the day when I have to try and redeem miles for honeymoon air travel... I just have this feeling that I will run into lots of headaches and/or no availability. Normally, I am flexible and just going to Europe or something so burning miles is easy. Neither case will apply when it comes to the honeymoon...

just when I think I have hit bottom on stupidity, someone always throws me a shovel.
"Is punctuation really that important, or even needed anymore we all know what I meant?" a reply made to me after I checked a press release can you hear that sound? That is me banging my head against a wall |

An especially ballsy reply for a press release. Issuing something that's crud is a great way to get journalists on your bad side. Deliver them a pile of non-AP formatted garbage. And if you're publicly held, great way to lose the confidence of your investors too. |
I was awoken this morning by the scream of my fiance as she stepped in the two inches of standing water coming from our master bathroom. This is shaping up to be an absolutely stellar day. :(

I had little difficulty snagging the RTW I wanted. I booked ~310 days out, and used KVS to search for availability in the weeks beforehand. For airlines I couldn't check (KE), I just hoped that availability would exist on intra-asia segments. Luckily, it did. IAH-MEX-TIJ-NRT-ICN-BKK-SVO-AMS-MRS; CDG-MEX-IAH worked out just fine. Ticketing with the RTW desk didn't take too long, as I had all the segments mapped out in advance. A steal at 220Kmi/ea. IMO.
I am actually more worried about not going with a RTW (still on the fence on that) as long-haul availability up front seems to be very difficult to find. |
