Ask in the Travel Photo forum. There are a bunch of folks over there who know a lot about gear and bags and such.

Tell the mod over there that you always forget about his forum. Smart! :p ;)

Back from my MR
Wow! I am beat. First of all I want to thank Baglady for offering to guest my fiance in to the PC. However, I lost/misplaced my Chase PC voucher. So, instead, my fiance picked me up from Terminal C and we spent the afternoon lounging outside at the Sonic on Will Clayton (she loves their strawberry/lime slush). The weather in Houston was very nice yesterday!^
As for EUAs. I was 1 of 3. What is a battlefield upgrade? I may have had one. On the SAN-EWR segment, I was seated in 14A when some guy comes up near the end of boarding (I think he was standby), and says I am sitting in his seat. I didn't argue. I grabbed my stuff and went towards the front of the cabin. I had already looked at the pda.co.com site on my cell phone and saw I cleared the upgrade (I was 4th on the list when I had last looked). The GA happened to be walking down the aisle to hand me a new BP for 4F. I told him, "someone is in my seat ;);)", and he handed me the new BP and said, "I don't think so," with a smile on his face. Transcon F is a godsend. Otherwise I would not have been able to fall asleep. Plus there was a POS in 14B, who almost needed a seatbelt extension. He had to pull his stomach in to make it work. I think if he asked for an extension he would have been kicked out of the exit row, right? I was so glad to get out of that seat. Time to take a nap. No more flights for the year for me. |
That smells like a battlefield upgrade to me. I did once have an extension in an exit row...I found it very curious and very frustrating because a non-exit row seat belt fit me without issues.

We visited the Mondavi winery in Napa over Labor Day weekend. Fantastic tour that I would definitely recommend. Domaine Chandon tour is a waste of time, IMO, but I had never been to a winery where sparkling wine was made before. Also visited Goose Creek Vineyards, which is a tiny producer tucked away near those two. Absolutely fantastic wines.

Glad everything worked out and you had some time together. Very glad you got your upgrade! It was a beautiful day here yesterday - not sure how long that will last but I hope a while! A very quiet weekend for us - we have this weekend and next weekend with no real plans and I don't remember the last time we had that - it's pretty perfect. I'm not sure when we'll have that again. |

It's about time. What's it been - two weeks?
Now to see if we can get the cable back... We are actually terminating our lease with the landlord due to his being offended by my request for a reduction of rent of $200 / month until the house is completely habitable again. |

Yep, 15 days.

There was a lot you couldn't use though, right? Kitchen and laundry? Those expenses seem to be larger than $200 so your request seems fair. He has insurance for a reason. Sorry it worked out that way. Have you found a new place? |
Some quick pics from my first visit to the VS clubhouse and VX in first class.
