The Chicken Parm is even better. And the Shrimp Bruno should not be passed up. But sadly no, the line "Palm Elite" refers to my face being on the wall at the Palm in ACY.

The CK Parm was not on the menu.
That picture is really on the wall , thats pretty funny .

Yup. And Lou hasn't found a way to fight that problem yet. No coaching staff has been able to climb that mountain. I told my mother "new route lines" because she wants to do TPA solely because of Barry Melrose. She thinks he's HAWT.

The chicken parm isn't on the menu at the one on 50th street in NYC either, but they'll make it if you ask. It is quite delicious. And to think that ConciergeMike didn't believe me when I said before that it isn't on the menu. Glad I got some backup on that.

Funny? Funny how? :p Do you think I'm cute, Private Pyle, do you think I'm funny? (Sure, let's do Goodfellas and Full Metal Jacket in one post, why not.)

The GM at the time did it as a thank you for the business I was sending him. If you assume (maybe conservatively) a $70/pp check average, in the time since I started in AC I've sent that Palm low six figures in business between small parties and contracted private room bookings.

Mea culpa, sir. It's on the menu by me, and that's what I based it on. :o The weird part is that I've been to 50th (twice, I think) and didn't get it either time, so I didn't have the occasion to look. I have a copy of the last version of AC's presentation menu in my desk at home, and I just read it again. The wording is "veal or chicken"; no separate line-item. Maybe we can do the Palm after our golf outing. :D

Yes, IIRC, it is not on the menu at the DC Palm, either.

Turns out my home Palm is the exception...who knew? Certainly not me. Although, upon further recollection, I'm willing to bet I know why. The GM who opened AC, who is now the GM in PHL, would never eat his own steaks when he worked. He would always eat the Chicken Parm while on a break. Probably still does. Maybe its odd menu presence in AC goes back to his affinity for it.

They did have a line on the menu that said
chicken (milanese, francese, marsala)
so im guessing I could have ordered the chicken milanese and asked them to put tomato and cheese on it.

This discussion is making me want to stop at the Palm on the way home from work tonight (although I am going to resist the temptation).

I was thinking that too - I'm off today, but I have reason to be in AC later tonight. Instead of going there, I'll use a gift certificate for AC's best burger joint/microbrew. I'll swing by there and throw some Cholula on a burger, to be preceded by mussels fra diavolo. ^

I'm pondering a run to the lunch counter at El Taquito Convenience Store & Meat Market. Best damn tacos north of Matamoros.

I opted for take-out Indian food from a place not far from the Palm. The Palm will have to be put on the to do list, though - it's been kind of awhile (although I did hit Mortons last weekend).

Just got a text from my mom from she just landed at JFK flying DL# 95 from BCN she said there was fire at the tower and they are being parked cannot get to gate, I wonder how bad the delays might be, though she said the fire was out and they were clearing the smoke. Anyone hear about this?

I love tacos from joints like that. I was watching Anthony Zimmern last night, who did a show in Mexico City and was stuffing his face with street food. Mmmm. . . .
