Wow!
Was a it a "large" (reputable) company? Since I may be moving in the next year, I'd be interested who it was. Incidentally, was there an agreed upon "window" when someone would be at the house to let them unload? I would hate to have to deal with that during a travel week. They had been notified of my schedule and shipped the stuff anyway. I had told them that this was a bad week, other than Friday, when I'll be home all day. I'll also be home all of next week. Anyway, at this point, I just want to be done with it. |
It seems like the box is filled with people just letting it all out
today . Ill add to it I just bought a sandwich downstairs and its smaller than the CO turkey mini given out on selected flights at mealtime. |

belynch, if I got anything factually incorrect,
Is there an Urban Dictionary post for an ALCO? In reference to the worst planes ever - What was the prop plane that had flat sides, seemed to lack pressurization, and would go through violent turbulence in the slightest change in air pressure/wind (i.e. someone sneezing / geese flapping their wings)? They used to make an appearance on HHH every once in a while. Maybe as US Air express? I hated those things. Thankfully I haven't seen one for at least 10 years... Edited to add: I haven't heard the beep in a while... Edited even further - new blackberry time. Anyone have any comments on the 8310 (curve)? |
I know I should not cross post...
but this was too good to pass up - found on a.net
------- Delta Fanboy Update 7/7/08 Dear Delta Fanboy, You may have heard the recent news that Delta ranked 19th in passenger complaints for the month of May. This news may cause some in the airliners.net community to make ridiculous emotion-based statements that don't reflect the true glory of your favorite airline. The following is a list of "talking points" you can use to reframe the argument for our misguided friends: 1) Delta is creating this country's only truly global carrier. 2) Delta isn't ASA. 3) Delta's switch to more international flying should reduce the number of complaints, as the number of passengers that can't complain in English increases. 4) Aliens. Enough said. 5) Let's talk in May 2010 when Delta's LAX megahub is in full-force. Thank you for your continued fanboy-ness. Sincerely, Chief Fanboy ------ |

AMR Eagle used to fly them as well. |

Yep, flat sides means it has to be a Shorts. I kind of wish I'd flown one of those way back when, just because it's such a funny looking plane.

I also wish to have flown them. Used to see them a lot when planespotting at DCA years ago. And the Dash-7. How cool is that - 4 propellers!
