KE does earn 150% EQM in J.

Or fly CO to HKG, and then connect, though CO99 arrives HKG late, so you probably have to overnight there.

Or go the other way and fly AF.

I hate the times of the CO flights - I'll probably do KE or EVA depending on availability and price. I was really hoping not to make an Asian trip this month and the last minute ones are never cheap. And I have a flight IAH-LAX next fri night so if I can use that tix and take a flight out of LAX; at least that will help me some. At least it's a new country I can add to my list.

You can do AF LAX-SGN-IAH for ~$13k in J. There is a change of planes in CDG.

Thanks for the cheap flight ;) I think I'll go with EVA at $4400 even though it's only 125% EQMs; it's 6K cheaper than KE

Just doing my part. ;)

From what I've read the EVA seat is nicer than KE's. Have a great time in Vietnam, it's one country I most certainly want to visit.

It's already on MR Deals, so lurkers have likely spotted it. Time to hop on the CO A fare DCA-DEN/DEN-DCA for $495 all-in, if you want it. With prices in Y being what they are these days, this is a steal for F.

ssullivan Jun 4, 2008 12:32 pm

That's a really good deal. I'm definitely tempted by it... Could always snag a cheap (hopefully) fare on DL from ATL-DCA to kick off the trip. Too bad I don't have any business coming up in Colorado that would allow me to charge it off to work and get reimbursed.

It's fully refundable. Worry about whether you will want/need it later.

Also, don't forget Bill Me Later. 90 Days No Payments. Just put the A fare on that and sit on it for up to 90 days, worry free. Can always refund within that window with no risk.

I'll probably grab two of them (DEN-DCA).

I was thinking about doing a nested trip but I may just buy a few one-ways.

It appears that it can be booked as a multi-segment trip as well.

I'm doing DEN-DCA on July 19, Back on the 20th. Will spend the Friday evening in Denver (cheaper to get to from IAH), and Saturday afternoon/evening in D.C. ^

I'll be getting married that day, otherwise that would be my plan. ;) :p

Good point. I forgot about Bill Me Later. I could certainly book us a couple of these and then figure it out before the 90 days are up. And I could sell it to the BF as "we're going to Colorado for the weekend for fun." We've talked about heading out there sometime anyway.

Are you a secret agent?

Why not get married in on a plane in F? That'd be the ultimate FT wedding! :D

No SPG properties near the airport in DEN. Embassy Suites, here I come.
