Baseball isn't the place to point young kids, anyway. Hockey and golf are the sports that teach the values.

The Yanks are like a grand mansion fallen into disrepair... Professional sports teams just don't have the same level of spirit as the college kids do. The pros get paid no matter what. The college kids (do too, but) have to prove themselves to actually get the contracts. Plus, most of the college sports are win or go home, while the pros play forever and you end up with how many sub-.500 teams in the NBA East playoffs this year. You can keep the house that Ruth built (though only through the rest of this season). I'll take 95K screaming fans at a Florida football game any day. And that's a small crowd for college sports. On a completely different topic, I love a well prepared pork belly. Tonight I had crispy pork bellies with spaetzel and roasted peaches. I was very suspect when reading it on the specials list, but it was phenomenal. The sweet and the salty went together incredibly well. Mmmmmm. |

I cannot help but wonder if that was a Freudian slip or not. Or maybe Susan Sarandon has been preaching the religion of baseball a bit too much.

The NY area has Rutgers for its college football. They even dress up the Empire State Building in RU colors when there's a nationally televised game. :D
The NY area is pretty rich in the NCAA basketball dept if the teams would stop sucking. |

That sounds like a terrible job.
You got a section assigned for 2 people , if you got there late only the lower level sections were available , which meant you were target practice for people in the upper levels . |
