can't you "validate" your passport by using it to fly domestically?

This is REALLY STUPID if in the new system one can't simply save their passport info once on ua.com and be done with it, like we could on the PMUA website. Even with once yearly intl flights, I never had trouble checking in online on the old ua.com.

I had a problem with wait list F segments, they showed online as being cleared however when I went to select seats I was offered a paid upgrade!! I too had difficulty contacting UA however I PMed Shannon UAInsider and she fixed the problem within an hour.
Whilst I too can appreciate all the frustration fellow flyers are having with UA at the moment from my perspective it was wonderful to have somebody from UA look and fix the problem so quickly. I now feel as if I want to support by UA through this integration. Big thank you to Shannon!!

Unfortunately the PMCO system worked like this as well, so it seems unlikely they'll fix it any time soon.

Glad it worked for you and where I'm flying tomorrow (Monday), I'm gonna check again on Tuesday and then take it from there and insist that my itins get ticketed as I'm sorry, 7 days and counting (or in your case, 12 days) to get a reservation ticketed is simply shameful and any airline that can't do a simple reservation immediately should be embarrassed!

Apologizes if this has been posted but I didn't see anything. The old united site let me download each segment an properly have those show up in iCal on the Mac. Now, when I book a round trip flight and download the event, it blocks out the entire time from when the first flight leaves to when the final flight returns. I hope it can work like the old way again soon.
I know it isn't what you are asking for here but I stopped downloading segments a good while ago in favor of TripIt. You can arrange for TripIt to automatically pick up your confirmation mails, create a trip, and then you can link your calendar to the one TripIt creates and get all the info (plus a lot more) in one place with virtually no work. If you already know all about this and it doesn't help, forgive the post. I never assume folks necessarily know about all the tools out there.

I just assumed that my ticket somehow got 'stuck' in the system, and after giving it time to work itself out without success, I decided to call! Mine involved an e-cert that was in a 'suspense' account so I originally had dealt with web support, so was surprised when it didn't actually ticket completely!

You shojuld be able to change your seat. You should see the following:

You are already checked in for flight UAXXXX and may only view your seat assignment(s) at this time. Go to online check-in to change your seats and reprint your boarding pass up to one hour before departure.

right, but if (and it's definitely an if, as i don't know) the old CO OP gave its elites a 500 mile minium for *A flights regardless of whether or not the *A partner did, while the PMUA MP did not, then the adjustment did not even out Lifetime miles between members of the two programs.

EMB-120 seat assignments

I've had 3 EMB-120 flights in the past two weeks. On all 3, I've been bumped out of my seat (exit row 9C) into a random seat sometime around T-48. In all cases, 9C was still available but I was reassigned to a random non-exit row seat. I've been able to manually go back and re-assign 9C in each case, but this is annoying.

I assume what's going on is that the type of EMB-120 is changing from front galley to back galley (or vice versa), thus creating an "equipment change," and forcing all seats to be reassigned. This auto-reassign system apparently will not automatically put me back into an exit row.

I think this could be fixed by forcing the system to reassign exit rows if an exit row was previously assigned, or to have it recognize the change of types of EMB-120s as only needing to reassign the front few or back few seats and keeping all other seat assignments.

Can this be fixed? Or are we going to have to watch our itineraries very closely in order to keep exit row seats on EMB-120s?

I just bought a flight to Europe for next week on DL...could have saved a connection using UA but don't trust them yet.

(Note: I think there is a fair bit of hyperbole in this forum and I don't think the sky is falling, I'd just rather fly DL until the dust settles).

The adjustment did not go back and re-process every flight with a new set of policies. All it did was say "If you got some amount of EQM (or status miles, pre-EQM) when this flight first posted than you did lifetime miles, add the additional amount to the count of lifetime miles." The readjustment did not change what counted as EQM/status-miles when the flight originally posted to your account. (Also, the readjustment was only done to PMUA Mileage Plus accounts; PMCO accounts were not adjusted at all.)

Thanks, but i get that already ... it's not quite my question, or my point, or whatever.

my original question was: did PMCO OP elite members receive 500-mile minimums for partner flights even if the partner only reported the actual minimum to OP?

and if the answer is yes, then my original point was: since PMUA MP did not, the one-time adjustment intended to treat both legacy groups equally missed a little equality there.

so, does anyone know how PMCO OP worked???

Ah, now I see your point. No, PMCO did not earn 500-mile minimums on all partner flights. They did receive 500-mile minimums on US flights though, while PMUA did not (hence why I switched my US flights over to credit PMCO as soon as I could). Yes, there was some inequality.
