The adjustment did not go back and re-process every flight with a new set of policies. All it did was say "If you got some amount of EQM (or status miles, pre-EQM) when this flight first posted than you did lifetime miles, add the additional amount to the count of lifetime miles." The readjustment did not change what counted as EQM/status-miles when the flight originally posted to your account. (Also, the readjustment was only done to PMUA Mileage Plus accounts; PMCO accounts were not adjusted at all.)
