Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

After reaching out to customer support (with almost 30 minutes staying in line) they told me that they still see a Qsuite cabine on this route. Finally I tried to book the same flight again on Qatar website and it is still advertised as Qsuite. Does somebody had a similar experience on another flight? Any chance that it will switch back to Qsuite?

Although heard good things from Qatar really bad overall experience so far...
Just looked up the seat map for your flight and indeed it is 2-2-2 config. You can make a free change to another QSuite flight on the route or just chalk it up and take the older seat. It's possible it could change back - anything can happen.

Thank you! Forgot I had an EF account.

For anyone else wondering, both the 773 and 772 used on QR 708 have Q-Suites.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Where did you check it?

Any chance that QR68 has a Qsuite deployed (same day and same route)?

Is QR operating QSuites on DOH-DPS QR 960?

I have a flight booked on Nov 12th. This was originally 787, but has just been switched to 777-300. The QR website makes no reference to QSuites but the seatmap through RJ looks like 1-2-1 layout.

As per ExpertFlyer it is a low density QSuite configuration.

Has anybody had any luck on getting the flight change due to a non-Qsuite equipment change for an AA award? The new wife and I are flying back soon from our honeymoon and just noticed it was changed (never received an e-mail). Just sucks cause I basically planned dates to fly Qsuites back and of course the route I'm flying, DOH-PHL, seems to be the one that got shafted the most. I assume AA won't be of any help since there aren't any other awards open so I'm wondering if it is worth calling or not.

You will need award availability to change - the policy only applies to QR issued tickets as far as I am aware.

Great news for this flight!
I was not expecting this on the DPS flights. Does anyone know if this is a regular change for this route, or just a few flights?

That's what I figured. Any chance Qatar opens up more award space between now and next week?

Anyone have experience in getting a free change, on a QR issued ticket, for a flight that was booked as 2/2/2, versus being changed from Q-Suite to 2/2/2??
