Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Concerned about galley noise and windows alignment.

Thanks!
3K is better. 1 will have slightly more noise and curtain disruption, and the side bin is smaller than in row 3.

Thank you very much!

I found a website by a blogger who took pictures of all rows to highlight the windows situation - apparently 1A/K are the only seats with 3 full windows.
I think row 3 gets 2 and 1/2 (not the end of the world of course).

Interesting! Any chance you could share this website? I could definitely make use of it now, as looking to book Qsuite flight most likely on 773, possibly 772.

Here you go - but this is only related to the 773.

Which Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER Qsuite has the most windows? - TravelUpdate

If i phone , is there any change that they could change just the Doh-LHR leg, there seem to be 4 other QR flights to LHR that day all selling tickets
Thanks for your help
Quick update, despite no help on-line or on the phone, was able to move to an earlier flight (QR1) for £23 at the transfer desk. Happy with that!

777-300ER seatmap

Hello,

I have reservations on QR818 (DOH-HKG) and QR807 (HND-DOH), both operated by a 777-300ER. These routes should be Qsuites as per this thread Wiki, but the seat map is on a 2-2-2 configuration. Which seats should I expect?

This is the seat map from QR website:

Thanks!!

Unhappy

I just booked Dublin to Tokyo NRT in May, to my surprise, both legs are on the old product, 787-8 and 777-300. Does anyone have any recent experience with the DOH - NRT leg? Small part of me hope it upgrades to the Qsuites. Would have really thought this route would be Qsuite.

Judging from the flight history the majority of flights are non QSuite with the occasional QSuite.

Nobody knows what will happen with your flight until you see at the gate.

Flying PHL > DOH in about an hour. Can’t believe it wasn’t changed to non-QSuite yet! I guess there’s still time.

Edit: it’s stayed a QSuite

Having said that, I have been perfectly OK with the old configuration for my 5-6 flights on that configuration this year. Still sleep soundly.

As of today, we have A359 QSuites on the way home next week. Seems like identical to 772/773 but with a smaller arm wrest/storage cabinet. That, and the HDMI port is under the screen. I’m most disappointed with lack of air nozzles.

if you checked the tail number of the DOH-PHL flight you would have known a lot earlier.

March 2023 ATL to DOH - booked Qsuite now 2-2-2

Booked March 2023 ATL to DBX on Qsuites and paid additional fee to reserve quad (family of four traveling). Received flight change email in November with no details. Logged on and Saw change to 2-2-2 configuration. Very frustrated- spoke with 5 different reps and emailed. Only option provided was to rebook out of ATL , but none of the days had Qsuites. No other solution provided. Reviews seem to point to 2-2-2 being a downgraded experience. Flight seats have now split up Family.

The wiki isn't updated and even if it was QR can change things at a whim.

Agreed. However, I have been victim to last minute aircraft swaps! I don’t assume it’s a QSuite flight until they close the door!

Maybe in DOH you could get a swap, but I don't see how they would swap in PHL once the aircraft is on it's way from DOH. It's not like QR keeps spares on hand in the US.
