I like window seats, and in the forward cabin simply because because during boarding, you would have to face miles and miles and miles of economy passengers pass through you, giving you that look that says "damn! I want to sit here."

A7-AFL/M are still in the fleet with sloped seats. Fairly rare for one to fly to Europe, but as an example, AFM did a Frankfurt and Berlin rotation in the past week.

Walt a chance to have them in Italian?

Phew. I was really worried that my Mom, who was spoilt on SQ J all these years, would spend the whole flight complaining to me. Haha. But here's hoping the flight to BCN wouldn't have the old planes.

Edit: oh wait. Looking down there seems to be two left? Argh.

Strangely enough, today's QR145 to BCN is flying one of the old planes (A7-AFL) ...

I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow's VCE-DOH (even though on a daytime flight a sloped seat isn't a tragedy ...)

Morning! I finally took the plunge and booked a flight to DEL on QR for November 16 in J.

Coming back to CDG on the A330-300. I know it's too far in advance to know for sure, but what are the chances of getting the old or new seat?

CharlotteC according to http://www.theqatarsource.com/qatarairwaystracker.html and the Wiki on this thread the last month has been flown entirely by shorthaul 320s with recliner seats.

michalis The only A330-300 with sloped seats is the 3 class version which is not often used to DEL since it is mostly flown by 787s.
The 3 class A330-300 is seldom used for European destinations.

My HKG-DOH aircraft has been switched from a 332 to a 333. Am I right in assuming that NONE of the 333 aircraft have fully flat beds? :-((
