Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

I found this in the fare rules a couple of times will looking for flights:

END-ON-END COMBINATIONS PERMITTED WITH MU DOMESTIC/
INTERNATIONAL FARES. VALIDATE ALL FARE COMPONENTS. SIDE
TRIPS NOT PERMITTED.
Does that mean that EoE are permitted with MU domestic OR MU international fares, or doest that mean EoE are permitted MU domestic OR any international fare? Maybe it's just me, but to me it isn't 100% clear....Thanks in advance!

If you will not fly a 1X - all other segments will be annulated.
I think because of this people say "1x is easier to find" - carriers care less about it.

Very simple. Fly it or lose it.
Doesn't matter where it is.

Airlines are very aggressive with this.
Several airlines have even began reminding people of this by emailing or calling people to ensure they will fly the 1X

Always fly your 1X

Okay, thanks. Looks like I did understand the 1X correctly. So people who fly obscure 1Xs have to find a positioning fare to the 1X airport that makes it worth the dump. I can see why the airlines care less about them.

Obviously not bookable, but if a computer programmer could figure out where the systemic error lies it may be possible to exploit for other situations. These numbers are not created randomly, there must be a deeper fundamental flaw.

Nothing was bookable for me on clicking through. So low I wonder if only taxes and airport fees were pricing.

Yep. Repriced on clicking through. Although a separate search on that OTA leads to ~300$ fare on AM

Yes that one was already posted on another thread. In this case though, it is not the result itself that is interesting but the process the OTA uses to get there.

What a great fare! ^ couldn't find anything as good for other dates, but was still able to pull prices at around $290 for other dates, which is not wow but still not bad.

Happy Easter all!

Delta appears to have recently changed some of its basefares, EoE not permitted anymore, prices going up as well. Is that a normal periodic thing because we´re aproaching high season or does that mean someone has talked too much?

I see some EoE still allowed. If you're talking about what I think you are though, it's been discussed to death in this thread. Would probably serve everybody well to stop posting about it.
