And when booking a HP I am not expecting a 5-star resort experience, but I guess it's a good choice for business travel? that it's similar to the Courtyard? And thanks for reminding that initially I decided to try HP is for the hotel location and not the freebies, so I still hope that my first stay with HP would be a pleasant one, and now with the free nights Hyatt already guaranteed themselves a second chance.
I for one would have a problem with the site auto completing my in process reservation with the new credit card - what if it did that and I wasn't aware of it doing that and forgot to cancel if I didn't want the reservation. Not to mention that it would not be me who entered the credit card number. I'm also not surprised that Hyatt agents are not able to find out what your credit card number is - that would be inappropriate sharing of information. Think of the credit card application pop up simply as a referral link - you wouldn't want a referring person to see the number.

I think that your courtyard analogy to HP is generally sound - nothing special but reasonably good and consistent.

Since last night I've been stuck in an endless sign-in loop. I sign in, and then when i go to do something, I'm signed out or my session expires (within 30 seconds). It keeps asking me over and over again to sign in, and I do... it shows me my account info. But as soon as I click on anything, it asks me to sign in again. I enter my password and I end up at the sign-in screen again. Over and over. It's really frustrating. Surely I can't be the only one going through this...?

When searching San Francisco hotels I cannot check the "Show Hyatt Gold Passport Points" box. Nothing happens.

When I go into a specific hotel's reservation site I am able to access the point information... just not for the regional listings.

This is rather annoying and is not the case when searching New York or Chicago etc.

Good Evening Freckles68,

Our website isn't perfect, but more often than not, the website constantly forgetting you is caused by a cookie problem. Please ensure we're allowed to place cookies on your machine and hopefully these annoyances are curbed. Sometimes "do not track" mode and privacy-oriented browser extensions will do this without soliciting you.

Should the issue persist if you've already done all this troubleshooting, please email us your Gold Passport details to [email protected] and we'll get the appropriate staff to see if it's somehow account-related. It's very rare, but it's not unheard of.

Warm regards,

Evan V

I am having issues logging into the Hyatt or Gold Passport websites. I have tried resetting my password and every time I receive an "Unable to update security status" error message. Has anyone else ever seen this or know how to resolve it? So far Gold Passport support has not been able to provide any help.

Thanks
DS

Can't log in

It says website is down for maintenance.
Cannot even look for hotels.
I wonder if Hyatt knows that maintenace on IT related stuff can be done at night NOT during the busy day time hours!

Since it appears to have been down for hours -- this must have been an unexpected issue that's beyond just routine 'maintenance.'

"The Hyatt Gold Passport system is undergoing maintenance at this time."

Uhm - this is 3-4 hours now? Would be nice to finish up my expense report by accessing my frickin' bills.

Most fortune 500 companies have backup server farms which don't require the need to have mid-day "maintenance" on their machines. Execs at hyatt should just punch the IT VP in the nuts and send him packing.

Hyatt should have punch their CIO in the nuts years ago.

This type of service is simply unacceptable. If my system was down for this amount of time and as often, I'd be out on the street.
