It's an imperfect implementation, again, but you can still use more than one rate code. First select the corp code and then switch to AAA. What happen when you change the selection is that the code isn't wiped and your search still uses it. You think it's a selection but in effect it's multiple selections, and a decent webdesigner should be able to implement that. Clearly someone who doesn't do reservations themselves.

I get that the intention is to make the initial screen as simple as possible, but at least open all the options then when opening the special rates, including the entries needed to populate the actual codes. No need to make a selection first, that can be automatically done when I populate a promo or corp code. And multiple selections should be possible as well.

Particular annoying now when you want to search for a corporate rate and something like the (default) MER. Then you have to manually clear the coporate entry or populate the promotional offer code for MER.

What annoyes me the most though that if you want to change something you first have to select the reservation screen, requiring an extra click vs how it used to be.

Defaults in corp codes when logged in would be nice as well.

I cannot begin to say how much I dislike the new booking system. This is as bad as Marriott's website now. I often compare 3 separate rates at a time and now I have to check one rate at a time and try to remember which one is the best rate. I have quit using Marriott just because It's just to much work to find a good rate. We'll see if they fix this or not!

I don't see any difference in Hyatt's booking system. What's changed that annoys you?

The fact that I cannot chose to compare 3 different rates at a time any longer.

The same options are there that could be used in the past... it's just a badly designed reservation box/dialog.

Click on any field in the reservations box and it will expand, then you will see the option for special rates which you need to expand further with a number of clicks.

I just don't understand what the problem is. I just searched for rates at the Grand Hyatt in NYC. Initially just Advanced Purchase and Hyatt Daily Rate showed. I then clicked on "special rates" and clicked on "AAA Rates". The AAA rate displayed as well as the Advanced Purchase and Hyatt Daily rate.

Still works if you use the bookmarking tool on my site.

When I have searched in the past I could click on the government rate. The Costco rate, and the aaa rate all at the same time. and it would give you all of the rates at once. Now you have to choose one rate at a time to search.

I guess it's optional, otherwise I would not have noticed it. I can swear the options would not appear a little while ago. Why do corporates want to take something in a worse direction than before? What's their strategy? It's as if Hyatt has a bunch of disinterested kids doing their web programming.

So now that we can only check one rate for which we qualify, it appears that ELITRT is no longer picked up as a valid code. The group code and special offer boxes are now one, and I suspect it's looking for a number rather than letters.

I checked multiple properties and it never shows up any longer nor does it show up when I'm logged in.

We used to be able to select multiple codes and rate types and have them all show up. Now we can't.

Way to go Hyatt IT... nothing like frustrating your customers and making them spend more time trying to reserve

That's not what I'm seeing... they are just trying to make it as hard as possible for you to make a reservation for anything but the Daily Rate :-).

This was achieved by first selecting a corporate rate, searching, selecting a promotional rate, searching and then selecting the AAA rate and searching again.

Resulting in one screen with those 3 rates.
But really... it should have been built so you could achieve that in one search.

And all that annoyance for just showing a "pretty" but dumb reservation screen. But at least they advertise prominently that these are the BEST RATES guaranteed, which we also know to be a lie.

I will try this hotel as well. I searched several properties with ELITRT in the corporate code box and it didn't even say it wasn't available, like it used to. It just returns the regular rates.

Like I said, nothing like them making it more difficult to search for rates.

OOPS.... I just realized that I selected the corporate or group code box and not the special offers code. When I added the code there - it worked for me as well.

My only excuse is that I have a terrible head cold and my brain is fuzzy. Thank you for making me look again!
