how many loyalty program customers do you think they have at any given time? The lack of stable IT system has been the ongoing situation for at least 5 years, doesn't seem like they feel it's worth the corporate investment

Strangely, for a while I was getting the maintenance message if I tried to sign into my account to see my reservations or anything else, but when making a res I could sign in with no prob and complete the res (but then still could not access my info). When I could get in later, all of the 6 res I made this way were just fine.

I'm still getting random problems assessing the website. How can I book a room with hyatt if I can't access the site? I don't think hyatt cares about their website. It seems like they have just given up.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this...

Is there a reason that I can't redeem my 2 free award nights (credited when I signed up for the Chase Hyatt Card) for a certain hotel in September? When searching for the hotel in regular reservations, there are standard rooms available for points. However, when searching for the hotel through the Award Nights search, I get the message:

The property or award you have selected is not available for the selected dates indicated. Please contact Gold Passport Customer Service at 1-866-557-6671 or your nearest Worldwide Reservation Center

Is there a reason for this?

Try one night at a time. If that doesn't work, call customer service.

There are a number of possibilities
The inventory for Chase awards is very similar but not exactly the same as points inventory from what Hyatt insiders have shared with me in the past

You may also have a simple system limitation
By calling customer service they may have a fix or many be able to call the hotel directly and see if they are able to confirm the award space of your choice
Good luck and let us know how you make out
Cheers

Not even Hyatt has problems for three days, and I have had no problems during this time. I suspect a problem on your end.

Another bad day for Hyatt IT I guess.... yesterday I was able to make bookings but the confirmation e-mails took about 12hrs. Also a bit of a pain is that when you make changes to the dates the overview screen still displays the old dates :-(.

Hyatt website is a joke. I constantly get error messages and have to log-in again and again each time I transition from hyatt.com & goldpassport.

It's amazing how Hyatt stays afloat with such a horrible website.

I've actually given up in trying to help offer information to assist the Hyatt folks.
While some select Hyatt agents take great concern Hyatt has done little to work through the most major user issues over the years.
Luckily there is enough business even with folks giving up on occasion that are unable to utilize/get the site to function
At a certain point its the revolving door affect going around in circles.

I've developed my own work arounds and have come to accept the site even with its warts and wrinkles
Occasionally it actually transacts/works
