STL. Just far enough that driving isn't an option.

There's a reason I posted this only in The Box, and on my personal blog. I found the whole experience sad, but kind of funny too.

It appears to be pretty far along, but has at least a year of construction to go, which means that it will have been at least four years after Rita when LCH finally gets a nice terminal again. The new terminal is HUGE for an airport served by one airline, but I'm sure they're hoping they'll get AA or DL back at some point in the future.

My parents go to the casinos in Lake Charles pretty often. Business have been down significantly at least for a year, even before the latest meltdown of the casino stocks. I wonder if they'll ever get the other airlines to return. One airline may already be more than enough.

It was another great night for the Plats on CO 1829 (Monday 10-27). We upgraded 8 people. For a EWR flight this is alot of upgrades. The IAH redeye had only 2 tonight.

That sounds amazing. I really want to do that trip but don't think it's anywhere in the near future. My mom and I have talked about doing this trip.

We went to the AMC Theatre at Pacific Place (HKG) and now I don't want to go anywhere else for movies. The wine bar was great (and reasonable); nice little tapas selection and I love having caramel corn. The seats were so comfy and they gave me a blanket because it was so cold. ^ Oh, and the movie was good too ;) (Tropic Thunder) I like Alamo, but this takes it up a notch. We usually go to a place in Kowloon so this was much better and worth the extra trip (and only one MTR stop away).

I am very disappointed in the CL service at the Ren Kowloon. I was at Le Meridien last week where service is great; and otherwise the service is good here but the CL service is LACKING!!!!

Add me to that list. I'd go in a heartbeat if I had a decent fare or a good reason to make the trip.

Going for Rotary works for me, assuming I'm allowed to be nominated. I'm not sure if family of existing members is permitted. I've done 30 days in Saudi and Qatar...why not add 30 days in Cameroon to the list?

Oof. That couldn't have been pleasant. My Christmas tickets have been booked since just before St. Patty's. Fares aside, I couldn't imagine seats.

That to-do list of mine that only gets accomplished upon having better photo gear does have a photo safari on it. Might not have mentioned that.

Good morning box
I just heard about this girl on the radio trying to raise enough money to run a
superbowl ad to find a husband.

Ugh. Reality is impinging upon my crackpot plans to ride around the 'Stans in Soviet-era rust-buckets. :td:. In other news, at least I'll be booking my BRU tickets today. :D

^ Good idea! What routing are you looking at?

Anglo Large Clawed Otter Oct 28, 2008 8:05 am

I've not had the "pleasure" of visiting LCH yet. MLU is a quaint airfield (and the birthplace of DL) for those looking to add an obscure dot to their FlightMemory. They have a bar on the second floor overlooking the tarmac. You can while-away the hours watching NW and CO Saab 340s. :D

I still need to add SHV, LCH, and AEX to complete my tour of Loseranian airfields.

IAH-AMS; Train to BRU; BRU-EWR-CLE-IAH (costs the same as BRU-EWR-IAH, and I get a new line on the FM).

New FM lines are always good. I'm still resisting the current winter TATL fares.

P.S. Why is it snowing outside?!:mad::mad::mad:
