Kicking back with some tequila...

Evening, Box!

I'm not going to read through whatever happened today... I'm just wanted to say hey from warm and tropical Cancun - where it is in the high 70s, windy, cloudy and some rain today, but that doesn't matter because we picked up a bottle of tequila at the airport. It's going down nicely...

Wish you all were here. The Le Meridien is pretty nice. :)

Catch you all in a few days once I'm completely relaxed.

The powers that be at the DO said in the alliances meeting there will be no starnet blocking.

My brain hurts. And I still have three stupid PowerPoint presentations that absolutely must be done by 11:00 AM tomorrow morning if I want to disconnect and leave my computer at home while I'm in London this weekend.

jrzyshawn Feb 10, 2009 6:41 pm

I'm at Panera using their internet again
Pictures from the DO should be available by tomorrow. I will post the link once I go through them all.

I'm drinking Panamanian coffee at the moment. I think I'm going to cry when it runs out.

If you want to pick some up at the airport as we pass back through on March 29 (or whatever that Sunday is) I'll carry some for you.

Yes, and I have contact info if you need more than a PM gets you.

It's a solid Aerogeek option that's not a completely ridiculous routing. I'm looking forward to it myself on the Honeymoon.

Their seats look decent - similar to KE/NW/KL. I'll be interested to hear your impressions of the service when you get back.

Is this the AM route? I want to give it a try at some point.

No. IIRC BR rewards are offered at uncompetitive rates.

And not eligible for RTW rewards, if you were considering that, but I don't think you were.

IAH-DEN RT

Does CO serve a "snack" or meal in Y on this flight? It's a relatively short flight (under 1k miles). I didn't want to burden the CO thread w/ a minor question.

Nice! If I had my way about it, I'd rather play post-Open, because the USGA eats up two of the other four courses for admin and parking, I think. I'm no fan of Long Island summer heat either...late September sounds good to me.

For the people who were asking about the NYC to AC train service, I found this.

Thanks. Looks like one of our flights has a meal. The other, not so much.

Someone took a completely non-flattering picture of the back of my thinning head during Larry and Jeff's presentation.

As an aside - I really appreciated the opportunity to meet and talk with many of the Box residents over the weekend.

Yep. DEN gets somewhat upgraded meal service in Y versus some other routes of similar length. It's probably due to the amount of high-yield business traffic on the route, and two other airlines providing competitive service several times a day on the route.

Do I get points for not having posted a photo I have of your thinning head? ;)

It was great talking to so many people this weekend, both box regulars and box lurkers a like. It was also fun fielding questions about the party flight too.
