Nice photos. Surfing conditions were pretty bad that day, from the looks of the photos. Surfing is always best in the early morning when the ocean is glassy.

This is due to light winds , or even better offshore winds
when combined with a shallow reef =

If I remember correctly Pupukea is right by Haleiwa.

It's north of there. It's the beach just south from Banzai Pipeline. In the morning they were expecting 17 to 20 foot waves on the north shore. They actually had about 7 foot waves in Waikiki around 7 AM.

In other news, weather in IAH is causing havoc everywhere.

It took 47 minutes to get CO to reroute me SAN-IAH instead of SNA-IAH. They didn't seem to care that I would misconnect on the SNA flight.

Then I get to SAN to find out that for some unknown reason, I wasn't checked in for SAN-IAH but I was for IAH-LGA.

I snapped at a GA today, but I did go back and apologize. That wasn't one of my better moments.

Me on a board? Yea right.:rolleyes: I'm way too clumbsy, uncoordinated, heavy, old, etc. for that. Looks cool though.^ I didn't have time to do much since I got there around 1PM on Monday and left for the airport at 4:30 PM yesterday. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only with severe jet lag base on all of the other hotel rooms that had lights or TV's on at 3AM.

I don't know. Maybe. I was on one of those tour buses doing the super quick tour of the north shore.

WWTBD: thought I had a dead monitor. OK, fine. Replaced video card (first time I fixed anything inside the case myself - :eek:). Monitor still dead. Video card was free; no shopping problems. I tried to hook up another monitor to the laptop I'm using...laptop recognizes screen, not vice versa.

Desktop is somewhere between 6 and 7 years old....fearing the end is here.
