Indeed. But I woke up feeling like I had slept for about two days. If I could recreate that for this flight, trust me, I would. Seeing as how my public transit master plan works out in getting me to EWR, I think I'll just get up extra-early and have a few drinks at the NW WC before takeoff. The sleep deprivation of the night before combined with a few adult beverages should do the job for my dreaded early departure. I feel like such a rookie...the last time I crossed an ocean I had no concern about functioning when I got off said plane because I knew I had almost 36 hours of downtime coming to me before I had to work.

She would probably have a problem with concealed carry; me less so. I could probably carry the Sigma 40 without imprinting ...

Thank you, sir. Catch the end of last night's episode and you'll see her in what have to be 5-inch heels and a micro-mini very easily removable pink something. I think that combined with a weapon might lead to sensory overload...good thing the dress was so tiny that there's no way she could have been packing while wearing it.

who is that? someone from 24? I have no clue only TV I watch is the history channel and sometimes truTV for some 'kicks' :D

oh yea I watch Hell's Kitchen, foodtv, and sometimes chuck on NBC :D

Give me a properly tailored suit for the purpose and I could hide all manner of hardware, despite my lack of shape.

And it looks like LIT-IAH was the winner for my return from MLU. I keep having to come up with circus itineraries to get to MLU and back, otherwise the  would just get to be too much. :D

No, she's the female lead in Castle - new show on ABC.

Sooner or later you will run out of airlines and equipment types that will get you there in one stop and in a reasonable amount of time, and you will be doing icurhere2-style jaunts.

The station manager at LHR came over and blocked the business seat next to me and wrote me a note to bring it to the gate agent ^

At ORD RCC, significant bliss was also waitlisted for the domestic upgrade to LAX. I also asked the agent if she could put a note in the PNR so we could sit together if the upgrade cleared. She replied, ohhh, there are still plenty of seats in F and since you are an 1K, I'll just clear you into F right now. ^ If only a PC agent would ever do that ;)

The RCC people at ORD let me in as a BD Gold flying domestically even though I forgot my BD card during my trip last weekend - very nice.

I really do think I could carry (except the office, where it is banned) the M&P 40 everyday; the Sigma 40 would be a stretch.

To get to SHV or MLU, I still have lots of untested routes and cities to try out. For cities I haven't yet flown to, I can still choose from:

AEX (Alexandria, La.)
FSM (Fort Smith, Ar.)
GGG (Longview, Tx.)
GLH (Greenville, Ms.)
TYR (Tyler, Tx.)
TXK (Texarkana, Tx.)
XNA (Fayetteville, Ar.)

Then there's tons of routes between various carriers to try out in the region, between that area and MEM/DFW/ATL/HOU/STL hubs for WN, AA, DL & NW. I'll be busy for a while. :D

ah I saw you mention it before, but haven't watched it, or 24 or much of anything else.

I will say that Yvonne Strahovski from chuck is pretty nice to the eyes

Given that I'll pick up 30,000+ EQMs for the $600 flight to HI, I no longer project any more "creative" routings in 2009 (e.g. BNA-ORD via MEM, PIT, DTW, and/or CMH).

* Of course, I did take advantage of the two allowed transfers each way to HI ...

Great but in the end sad to observe - embodiment of the "give away the store" philosophy that will be their undoing. I'm starting to back off on my UA hate (but not my UA forum hate) in part thanks to listening to Upgrd. I just can't help but wonder what will happen when it all comes crashing down and the cow stops giving the milk.

ETA: Oh, poop. I wanted post #6,500 to be absolutely pointless. But then again, if you read below, maybe it was.

baglady, did you catch Castle last night? IMO it is getting to be one of the better shows on TV, and it (well, ok, she...can anyone say naughty hot?) has made Monday night something to look forward to...especially after watching my Devils get trounced last night.

Yes, and thoroughly enjoyed it!^

I don't think UA was giving away the store on that one because the OP and companion were using instruments to upgrade their segments (unless you count SWU's as giving away the store and the OP was using a SWU). This would be no different from someone receiving a companion upgrade on CO or being waitlisted for a mileage upgrade at the gate.
