They are not giving away. My significant other used a system wide upgrade, a valid upgrade instrument which was pulled. My S.O. was also #1 on the list because of his 1K status. At that time, only the gate agent (or a supervisor) had the authority to clear upgrades. The RCC agent acted as a supervisor to clear my s.o. into F because of his 1K status.
