This is where they make it right at your table, right? If so - this stuff is awesome. We order it extra hot, and couldn't get enough of it. Mmmmmm....

Yes, they make the guacamole tableside.

Speaking of food. I am going to take my brother and father to Goode Co. BBQ (on Kirby) this evening. I've been there a couple times, and love the beef brisket. Would this place be considered a good one here in Houston? Any other recommendations within the inner loop?

I play that game all the time.

+1 If you use amex travel, it appears that the company specific agents don't work on the weekend or after hours. So i've learned to book my travel late at night or weekends when it goes straight to the ticketing desk and just gets issued.

I think i've pretty much given up on the other thread for now. Maybe later i'll go back to padding my post count.

Goode Co. is one of the better BBQ joints.

There is also Luling City Market off of Richmond. It's got a smaller feel to it and there's a little spice to the meat. I prefer it to Goode Co. simply because I like their sausage and brisket a little more.

If you are wanting to show him a Houston landmark, either is a good choice.

Big deal. If they give us such great discounts, how come the prices the travel agent quotes on their flights are the same prices I can get on those airlines' websites, or Orbitz, or Travelocity, or Expedia?

Most likely the corporate discounts from the preferred carrier come in the form of back-end rebates, not discounts on the actual fares.

Holy specials list, Batman!

The co.com weekend specials list from EWR this weekend is huge. There are 28 destinations available.

And I'm already booked on PHL-SMF so I get to use none of them. :(

I was quite surprised to see EWR-SNA and EWR-NAS. Too bad I can't go anywhere this weekend.

It's taking every ounce of restraint in my body to not pull the trigger on that. The only [slight] problem is missing work on Monday.

The times even work with the one thing I have to do this weekend.

This is out of the way for you but anyone in the Conroe area should definately hit up McKenzie's BBQ. I grew up in The Woodlands and we would go up there to see my great grand parents every month and always had them cater our lunch/dinner.

So, I wonder if one can buy it and then exercise the standby thing and take the red-eye out on Sunday night.
