How is this thread still going? 200k views? It lost it's CO-related material when I woke up in a pool of my own vomit in the bathroom of this bar back in February..... ;) When was the padding of certain clawed, ex-Lubbock and Houston, elite, and starving student people's pad counts a part of the CO forum? Has this place gotten so rough that the mods don't even come in this drinking establishment anymore??

Heavy multiple postings here should be treated with the same severity as PWI's. Posting While Intoxicated -- something that I am doing now, and will be doing in CZM this weekend.....

I just laughed so hard I made the neighbors' dogs start barking.

Every once in a while the subject of CO does still come up in here.

And yes, there's lots of PWI that goes on in The Box.

I'm sure I'll feel differently by next Friday though. I don't have a flight scheduled now until September 11.

I'll be on #1776 IAH-PHL on 9/11. I hope the EUA clears.

Hartmann: I'll add to your waiting for flight misery. We're losing a concierge here, so the schedule is of course all messed up. I can't confirm myself for PHL as of now because of this. Thought I'd give as much notice as I could. Sorry.

Work? (or as they say on the WWBTNFTMTP game thread "w*rk :td:"). W*rk interfering with your social life??? How lame. There's nobody around who can cover for you half a day which you can give back to him over the weekend?

If you don't get there. we will be thinking of you (but not very much) as we scarf down the cheesesteaks and Pork Italians. It looks to me that my +1 needs to make a stop that afternoon in Gloucester County and I will drive her there and she will then accompany me to TLs. She is a native Philadelphian and likes her cheesesteaks "hoagie" style (that is with fried onions, lettuce, and tomato). I wonder if TL makes it that way?

If Hartmann, or anybody, needs a ride from PHL, I can stop there on the way in from Jersey.

Slight confession here: I just canceled an award flight to the Cow DO in Buenos Aires because of w*rk related activities. :o

Well I'm flying DL and AA that day, so no EUAs for me then. At least the AA segment is booked in first class. But I'll be in the back for the DL MD-80.

My next possible EUA is EWR-ATL on September 14.

Hartmann Aug 23, 2008 8:26 am

I am finally back in Houston. ^

CM, that, in the words of monitor is lame. You have to do what you have to do though. I hope you're able to make it.

monitor, that may be a welcome arrangement.

Hartmann - I'm also available to give you a ride. There is a shuttle you can take to the aloft and I can meet you there if you want. I will probably be down that way around 4.

(Remnants of) Tropical Storms are fun. Not nearly as risky to be out on the beach in as a hurricane, but with most of the same fun winds. I had my kite out this morning during a lull in the wind and it was literally pulling be down the beach in a 20mph breeze, with higher gusts.

Of course, getting here was no walk in the park. Pretty much every carrier canceled all their flights into JAX arriving after about 7pm last night. We got moved to the earlier flight and fought with two different Delta GAs to get the tix issued and seats. The FA was great on the flight. She's actually a private pilot and going for her commercial check-out flights next week. How many FAs are also pilots? I have to assume not too many.

And it was on a Comair CRJ50. We had the seats in row 1 (A/B) and I really didn't find them to be all that bad. I also had to sit in 12D for takeoff (weight & balance issues) and it wasn't great, but no worse than a CO ERJ, IMNO. I'm sure the CO configs are worse, or we're all just too spoiled.

Good times.

And he tore it up, too. It was a great show last night.

CRJ's are uncomfortable no matter where one sits.

How tall are you? The widow seats on the CRJ become considerably more uncomfortable in proportion to your height. If you weren't tall enough that the wall of the plane was curving into your shoulder and head while seated in 12D, then it probably wasn't so bad. And of course the tiny and very low mounted windows on the CRJ just increase the feeling of claustrophobia.

Actually CO's CRJs are the same configuration as DL's, and many, if not all, of CO's CRJs flew under DL colors at some point, as they are planes originally flown by Comair, or Atlantic Coast Airlines, which was a DL Connection carrier. The planes that Atlantic Coast was flying eventually ended up with new seats when they changed over to operating as Independence Air. Those seats are actually pretty comfortable, and beat anything I've experienced on any of the DL Connection carriers.

So I officially took on more responsibilities at my job this week. Which means the nearest I will be to a plane for the next six months is being on Flyer Talk (job doesnt require air travel.) I did get a substainal raise and will enjoy my new responsibilities and thought some of yall would find humor in my new job title.

Training, Education, Culinary Coordinator, Interim Suite Holder Coordinator, and Interim Webmaster
Scott

Have a good weekend all and happy flying!
