Are those the obstructed view ones out in the center field bleachers? They truly are horrible seats.

We paid ~$50 for 300-level row 8 (wheelchair) seats and they were fine. Probably not $50 seats, but I only go to a couple games a year so I don't mind too much.

Time for me to wade through all of the posts made while I was gone.

In other news, Safari 4 for Mac = ^^^

Our wonderful 10 year old just announced to me that, "I support two airlines, Continental and whoever beats United." :p

That's hilarious.

Is it better than FireFox? There were a few things in Safari that were annoying enough that I switched to FF. And when is it out? I just checked software updates and didn't see anything.

It's a beta (have to go to Apple.com).

As far as speed, it loads 10x faster than FF, and renders pages much faster.

The tabs have been placed at the top, similar to Chrome, which I still do not know if I like.

I sort of like Chrome also, but I have not seen an adblocking add-on and that disqualifies the program for me.

I guess I've just become immune to ads.

I just used "taco farts" and "Parisians" in the same sentence when discussing UA. Yeah, that pretty well sums it up.

For a guy who doesn't fly too much you've got an awful lot of opinions on the level of service provided by various carriers. I'm just saying...

I'm not sure if things have changed with the rental coverage on credit cards. My understanding is that it covers expenses not paid by your insurance. In other words, your cool to leave the car but the card company is going to go after your insurance and then pay anything not covered. (most likely your deductable)
Me? Haven't paid any attention to it for years. My company has a rider on their policy that's first in line for coverage in the event of a shunt.
There again, haven't put a scratch on a rental yet. Fingers crossed.
Now was it Dan Gurney or Phil Hill that said, "Nothing else in the world can corner faster than a rental car."

The AMEX Plat insurance is the one that is $29.95/rental. You have to sign up for it separately -- not the default secondary insurance that comes from just charging the rental on the cc. As far as I know, it is a primary insur policy. Fortunately, have never had to make a claim -- but that's what the insurance is for -- peace of mind!

Try Ruby's or Spindrift. Both should meet your price range. They aren't great, but they are passable and right in town.

Thanks, I will look into them on Trip Advisor.
I know I am not going to find a Westin or element in San Pedro for under a hundred bucks a night, but as long as the hotel is CLEAN I will be just fine. I am trying to convince myself that I only paid about $230 for the two AAir tickets so I should “splurge” on the hotel, but the cheap a$$ in me just can’t bring myself to do that. :p

Working on the West Coast is so odd. I feel like I'm living in the past and can never catch up to life on the East Coast. By the time I get to work, my partner is on his lunch break. And hours before I leave work he's texting me to tell me what he's having for dinner.

ditto, here. I'm not a fan of Safari due to some glitchy stuff I've come across, so have FF on this Mac.
