I have the opposite of that problem when I work on the east coast. I'm up an doing whatever I'm supposed to be working on four or five hours before anyone decides to roll into the office here in SAN. This is particularly  when I need something from someone to solve a problem.

In other news, I'm very happy to announce that I've now booked six revenue tickets on CO this year, and finally one of them is for me. :D

For a guy who doesn't fly too much you've got an awful lot of opinions on the level of service provided by various carriers. I'm just saying...

I just enjoy UA bashing.

If FT gets a hold of phone numbers, Scott might well have a conniption or five.

I once had late/lost/waylaid bag at LAX that I knew to be at UAL baggage claim. I wanted to talk to somebody there to hold it so I could pick it up myself. Of course I couldn't find a phone number for UAL at LAX.

So, I Goggled around and found a 310 area code number for one of the foreign airlines. I called that, asked them to transfer me to UAL baggage claim and voilą, Christmas was saved.

The UAL folks were a little  on how I a passenger got transferred to them by alls well that ends well.

I wish there was a FlightMemory-type application available for those of us who have had to cross terminals multiple times at LAX to track down a lost bag. I'm sure I'd have five terminals and six lines by now...

I had an amazing massage today; started with hot stone and ended with deep tissue. I'm not sure that I had two hours of my day to blow, but I felt like a new woman. I highly recommend it.

I've packed a fair amount and just need to go through my office (shut up, Plus1) to get all the misc. crap to take.

I do need to run by the cleaners tomorrow because someone (no names, Plus1 ;)) left the bag of cleaning on the grill. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Why? They've got their issues, but they're far from the worst airline in the US.

I've been told by some people wiser than me that the Internet is full of stupid people and that you can't change the opinions of everyone. I don't consider myself one of the ignorant nutcases out there (everyone probably says that about themselves, but...) so once in a while it's nice to not beat them and join them.

One thing about working out here is that it does make me much more of a morning person. This morning I woke up and was wide awake, then looked at the clock and saw that it was 4:58 AM. I could go back to sleep for nearly two hours and still wake up with two hours to make it to work. And at night my body's urge to stay up well past midnight is minimized, as midnight here is 3:00 AM back home. As a result I'm feeling more rested than I have in weeks. I'm falling asleep easily before midnight, and getting a full 7-8 hours of sleep/night. Often I'm up until 1:00-1:30 AM, and dragging myself out of bed around 7:00.
