Really, the way I see it, a handful of people have a huge chip on their shoulder as they feel they've been wronged by CO for some reason and thus they feel the need to constantly beat them up. Or, they just have nothing better to do with their lives.

The shoulder chip of which you speak has a mass enabler. Any time someone posts something complimentary about CO, he is there to squat over the OP's head and drop a stinky corn-filled nugget of CO hatred. It wouldn't be any fun if we were all fanboys...if I want that outlook toward a company, I'll go to Cruise Critic. But OTOH, the flavor of the venom has been getting a lot darker, and many would probably say it's unneccessarily dark. And to your second point, there are people on here who have nothing better to do with their lives...those are the people who fan the flames on poaching threads and would probably list "hawking the Continental PDA site" as an interest on an online dating website.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Have you considered Gin? It's not just for breakfast, anymore.

UHaul is the worst of the bunch. I've had good experiences with Penske.

In addition to the FAM schoolhouse and travel office (yup, all those itineraries and theft of F that people gripe about are born and raised in my backyard) ACY was at one point a gateway for the very ill-advised Carnival Airlines. Carnival Cruises, well before it became Carnival Corp. and bought cruise lines the way LH buys airlines, used ACY as an origin for bundled air on MIA/FLL-departing cruises. I never really got used to seeing the Carnival smokestack graphics on the tail of an airplane. Apparently neither did the public at large, because it was a huge flop.

My family flew Carnival Airlines a bunch and they liked it.

I still can't believe that one thread is still going. I would have thought it would have died after Scott chimed in and the expected thanks Scott posts, but nooooo. I'm waiting for a post about an expired passport or visa to be CO's fault.

The expired passport is CO's fault. They have the stored information and they should have notified the OP that it would expire by their flight. Damn that C:rolleyes:
:rolleyes::D

Oh, I firmly believe we should have a healthy dialogue of both positive and negative aspects. Hey, i've had a few rants myself lately. But, I will also give them credit where credit is due. Just like I do with UA.

That's the difference. It's one thing to actually contibute something that adds to the discussion and then there is the chip-on-the-shoulder of just slamming everyone with anything positive to say. Those are the people, and you only need a few, that make any place inhospitable.

I have a bit of a sweet tooth and need the sugar for the jumpstart. Though I'm always up for a good Bloody.

Some of them might be end-of-season stats - this can easily result in a trip to AVP (and not by plane).

Agree on all counts. But I don't quite understand the need for multiple people that slam the positive posters. At one point in the not too distant past, we were holding a reputation as an inhospitable community thanks to only ONE person. I guess they were indeed huge shoes to fill.

I think I've come up with a solution to clueless border agents stamping the Amendments/Endorsements section of my passport. For my next passport, I'm going to place sticky-notes over those sections with a disclaimer: "Please do not Stamp Here - Amendments & Endorsements Only." It's a bit late for the present passport, but eventually, perhaps I'll be able to add pages to my passport without having to get a new one every few years.

I would just ask 3M to make "Stamp Here" tape flags. ;)

And after you do that, you will invariably get a Customs agent that is the equivalent of the cop that carries a ruler to measure distance from the curb and you'll end up having to talk your way out of some obscure statute violation involving making unauthorized changes to passport pages.

I would rather have to go through the hassle of explaining myself than have to pay for a new passport every 18 months.

Agreed.

Well, sometimes it's fun to fuel the idiots. The fact that the thread has gone to four pages is a bit insane. But, the post count in the thread is amusing. :)

I've decided i'm not leaving the Box today.

iTunes/iPod question. Does anyone know if there's a way to have a reverse Playlist it that it will play all of the songs except the songs in that play list? I really only care about Christmas songs at Christmas time and not at this time of the year.

photog72 Apr 20, 2009 9:35 am

I want to add to the box's FM. I can't seem to find the information. Perhaps a write-up is in order, since there are new additions to the box since the FM was started.

I'm not a wizard, but I believe you can setup Smart Paylists and use it to filter out stuff.
