In my many years of flying I have yet to receive a VDB. Been close a handful of times, but thats about all.

The sad part of this story is the poor folks in CLE are the real losers. I can only imagine how much lost revenue the city has seen because I moved my own crate 2 hours after the deadline had passed for crate delivery and the teamsters had gone over their allotted break because their fried chicken delivery was late.

That type of behavior is typical of Cleveland Teamsters (there is far worse behavior, as well).

I've been ardently praying to the Bump Gods for their wisdom as it relates to my flight home from the Do.

Speaking of Twitter, who else in the PB is on there? I am.

I think I am, though I still don't see the point to it. Maybe i'm just missing it.

So, random poll. Cash out 200k CO miles for two VS UC rewards or transfer 126k from Amex into ANA club and redeem? It's a savings of 74k miles and it seems ANA has much better availability then CO.

I'm hoping for a bump on my AUS-PDX run but the loads aren't looking favorable. If I was to get a bump on the IAH-PDX segment I could do a trip in vain and just go straight back to AUS.

Option B. Why not take the fewer miles and more availability option? Since you're burning there is no earning component to the question.

Is the comp. for trip in vain larger than the expected VDB cert?

You'll have to fight me for it. I take it you've seen how full the back of the bus is?

That's because I've been intentionally avoiding Chautauqua and any CRJ-x00 flight like the plague so far. I'm even planning on flying to LBB hours earlier than normal in two weeks to get on an ExpressJet ERJ rather than a Chautauqua CRJ.

I would leave 12 hours earlier, if necessary, to avoid a Sh!tauqua CRJ.

There is no comp for trip in vain - they just send you back to your origin, but the full value of the ticket remains.

CO.com shows 18 empties. IME, that number is always lower than reality when judged against seatmaps in the GDS. I have SABRE access but I'm not that good with it. Hence the prayers - more people to fill the back to cause an oversell. That flight, the late PHL after it, and I'm starting to see that CLE-SFO are great bump chances. I think Steve GadFly and his wife are on our flight home too, but one if not both will be up front.

Are you talking NH C or F ?

Sounds like a net loss. If you got the ticket at MR-esque pricing, why not get the miles and a cert on top?

Restaurant modeled after the A380. The hospital ward one sounds interesting as well.

IIRC, the hospital one was profiled on Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. He was not at all impressed.

The extra EQMs and EQP already posted. That was quick! ^
