Hey CM, looks like you have another option out of ACY now...

I give them 2 months...

I think they will last a bit more than 2 months.

But did we ever find out about the ruckus in your neighborhood last night?

It turned out to be fluid in her lungs and she had difficulty breathing. She's supposed to get of the hospital later today. I'm assuming the only two police who were on duty came by to give them something to do instead of hiding out in the parking lot of one of the parks.

Police respond to all medical emergencies where I am. They do this for two reasons. First, their response time is generally half that of an ambulance and they are all trained as Certified First Responders and carry medical "first in" bags which carry things like oxygen. Secondly, medical emergencies are sometimes caused by "other" factors ranging from drugs to abuse. And, there are many instances of people calling EMS only to steal our Narcs. Police presence reduces that.

So, while a simple 9-1-1 call for help that generates a response from 4+ people may seem like overkill (and usually is), there's a very legitimate reason for that.

I'd like to end this post with an NBC esque "The More You Know" PSA mental image for everyone.

Instead, I'll end it with I hate seeded buns. And I hate my deli for switching to them.

It was the two ambulances that was strange to be honest. I was told the police arrived very late and seemed annoyed someone distrubed their nap as they were hiding out on the far side of town (neighbor's kid so them over there and followed them home).

To give people some reference, it's near Olney, TX, ~130 miles west/northwest of Dallas.

Makes me wonder if they were trying to put it down at the Olney Municipal Airport (4k ft. runway there).
