OK, so I am going to book a MR to AMS/TXL with the finacee next month if...

I will be booking EWR-AMS-TXL and back but we want to ditch the AMS-TXL flight on KLM. My question is, would CO find out if we ditch it and would they cancel our ticket AMS-EWR?

No chance of that working out well for you. Just go to TXL. It is supposed to be a great city to visit. I'm a bit upset that it is too expensive on the dates I can go and that I'm going to HAM instead.

Trust me, it's worth getting a car. Afterwards go to Liliha Bakery for some Coco Puffs. Finally, for a snack, Leonard's Bakery for malasadas. Though you can do any of the above in any order and more than once :p.

There is a great tiki bar right near the airport that is a must-visit. I will have to look up the name, but you could go there before your return flight.

Go to the North Shore and explore some of the restaurants and surf shops.
Go to the Dole Plantation.
Hike Diamond Head, but make sure you are adequately sunscreened.
Go to Pearl Harbor.
Go to the Polynesian Cultural Center and see a performance.
Definitely eat at that place I recommended.

That probably is enough to keep you occupied for two days if you want to move at a leisurely place. You will need a car for the North Shore and Dole Plantation.

I'm one of the poor and statusless and I haven't yet found a destination that I can't get a mileage upgrade to. There have been specific flights that have been blocked, but never a case of complete non-availability on the days I asked for.
