I would bet that a number of those ahead of you are silver/gold on Y or B fares that could not upgrade at time of ticketing, not platinums. Doesn't help you on the EUA front, but it is what it is.

As for booze to bring back, they sell a Jamesons Signature Reserve in the Duty Free shop (navy blue tube holding the bottle) that is officially not exported, though they seem to only sell it in duty-free, so all of it leaves the country. And they are usually pouring free tasters. It is a pretty good price/value proposition, IMO. Then again, I'm not a huge whiskey fan, so what do I know.
