Some Florida Panthers putz put the puck in the Devils net after the whistle. That's so very not cool. He just put a bullseye on his back.

MR BL played golf with a CO pilot this morning. I asked him if he told him how great the mystery flight was ;)

They didn't discuss union issues either :D

ConciergeMike Feb 28, 2009 12:29 pm

5-0 Devils...that's the hockey gods smoting Florida for putting the puck in the net after the whistle.

I've rarely had to use this capability, although I have done the corollary to someone sitting in my F seat once.

Meh. Shutout blown. 6-1 Devils. David Clarkson scores a Gordie Howe hat trick.

A commercial pilot couldn't play golf with me - I'd not shut up for five hours.

Don't know if this has been posted here yet. But a video inside and around the Turkish 738 that crashed near AMS:

Warning... It's pretty hardcore stuff. Don't watch if you don't want to see raw footage of carnage.

At the time, I was detailing cars and offered to fix what I'd done for free. That was answered with "Get the f**k out of the car and look at what you did to my car." When I informed the gentleman that I could see the bumper from a seated position: "No, you can't f**king see it. Get up." Years ago I was picking up a pizza. Parked the car opened my door and nearly had it taken off by some *sshole pulling in next to me. I jumped out of my car ready to kick some butt and watched this thing unfold himself from his car. It was Jim Chones (Center for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the time) Needless to say the urge to kick butt quickly left the building.

I rarely take advantage of my size, but do pull it out at the appropriate moments when some mouthy napoleon thinks he can do and say what he pleases regardless of the world around him. That, and when people think they are more important than thou and expect you to move out of their way. They are important, don't ya know?

I need fashion advice from the box. Next week I have a sort of interview. It's my first non 100% engineering interview so I'm in debate on what color tie I should wear. If this was a normal engineering interview I wouldn't have a problem. This interview is for an instructor type position at a large state run university and I be in with women (one older, one younger who I know) instead of white haired old men. These people are use to working with not only academia but also government people. Should I go the typical ultra conservative, white shirt with a simple in style gray, navy blue, or burgundy tie, or go with a color less stuffy but still nice? Suit likely will be navy blue. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Those people are not victims of my size. The overly self-important catch a hearty dose of a piece of my mind of the topic. Those who believe that they are more entitled than me or anyone else to something that isn't somehow restricted is a trait that irks me something fierce.

Navy blue, white shirt, red tie. Keep it simple.

Anything but the white. Personally, I'd like a less stuffy color, but I'm not really up on what's more appropriate.

Edit: Further reading, I think you meant white shirt, so forget the white tie comment.

Hey Xyzzy - this is a very timely post. I need a parking spot for PHL next week, so I will give PacificoValet a try. Do they pick you up in your own vehicle for the return or do you have to get a shuttle?

I think Winner (more or less right next to Pacifico on Essington Ave) is less expensive. Both places drop you off at the airport in your own car and pick you up in your own car -- for an extra fee (about the equivalent of an extra day of parking) you can leave straight from the airport rather than stop back at the parking lot to pay and drop the valet. We use Winner when we are traveling with the kids and have been very happy with them. They will also wash/detail the car or perform minor maintenance, although these cost extra and you definitely pay retail.

For work, I have been using WallyPark (former SunPark Scott Way) due to convenience -- it's right next to the airport, and the shuttle takes about 3 minutes to the terminal and they run shuttles every 5 mins or so for pickup -- but it's more expensive than the other off-site parking places near PHL. I used to use Colonial, which is less expensive but further away and I often had to wait a while for the shuttle. Colonial is SW from PHL and probably wouldn't be convenient for anyone coming from NJ.

The Flu is Awesome™

I was feeling so rotten by the end of last night, I knew I wouldn't make my 06:00am CMH-IAH, so I switched to later flights. Just unbundled myself from a 02:45 Chautauqua CR2 flight, enjoying alternating muscle cramps and chills the entire way...

Didn't these idiots learn? They got called for goalie interference twice and ran into Brodeur at least two other times and got scored on twice in the 5 minutes following their breach of hockey etiquette. I don't care what team or what goalie: crashing the net to the point that you take the net off its mounts and bowl the goalie over is not kosher and the coaching staff should be teaching that.

I was going to write this until I saw CM's post. Completely agree.
